So Denny's is one of my absolute favorite spots. I eat there regularly. I love most the girls and management. Never have had a problem... Until tonight! I went in with my husband and daughter. Ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks. Cali club sandwich, spicy skillet, and some chicken rice bowl. Drinks were 2 lemon waters and a sprite. The waitress Ethel told us there was no lemons cut and she didn't have time to cut any. But she had time to sit and flirt with 2 boys (the only other table that was there at the time) my husband asked if the chicken rice bowl was a big portion because if it's not he wants two the waitress said it was huge. He said ok I'm trusting you and we placed our order. it took 1 hour to get our food and even asking for silverware and waiting 5 mins I got it myself. spicy skillet was full of grease and burnt, Cali club was missing avacado, the chicken rice bowl was like child size so right away we asked for another one. It took 30 more mins to get the second one. By now another table walks in and the lady asked for a strawberry banana smoothie and our waitress Ethel told her the machine wasn't working. About 15 mins later the other waitress on the other side brought out a smoothie to one of her tables. Absolute nonsense!! We were there 2 hours and we were fed up and left. As we were leaving we walked up to pay our bill and the manager Eric was complaining about wanting to go home and about having to cook. This is also the manager that would say racist stuff in the back thinking people in the dinning room couldn't hear him. We sat there and waited to pay while he decided his Facebook messenger was more important than taking our payment. Fed up my husband threw the money on the counter and we left. Read moreHubby and I have gone a few times the last couple months for a late breakfast. It is usually on Saturdays or Sundays pretty busy days. We do usually wait a good 4 minutes before seated but when we got seated last Sunday we waited 10 minutes for a tall male waiter and he apologized for wait and by time he gave us menus and came back he took our drink and food order taking another 10 minutes for our drinks as I could watch him from the angle taking so long to make the shakes cause he has to talk to waitresses about their lives. The waitresses acted like they didnt notice the others also waiting for drinks and menu orders and walked away but there was only 4 tables in our section ans a total of 8 people! It wasn't even for one waitress. When we got our food no refills on drinks and then we waited with everyone else who got their bill at the same time. Checked and it was a 13 minute wait with traffic trying to come in and out. A girl with sandy blonde hair braids shorter said well its not our fault everyone wants to pay at the same time.... To blame customers for non helpful workers that are to be a team but blame customers really didnt impress. Everyone in line then stared and were upset. One person checking out everyone while manager didnt help. I love the food and lighting but the staff needs to watch what they say, work together and have better time management to take drink orders, food orders and meal orders. She was rude too because I laid cash where she didn't like it. Wasn't close enough for her. Very lazy people. Then I only got 2 large onion rings and 2 little ones and I was told that's how it comes. When I said well if that's the case I guess I wont come here anymore he said ok good. Wow ok u got it and I hope anyone reading this sees how they are and stays away until they hire competent staff
Well I took you up on your offer and tried to go again. I am disabled. I have several plates and pins and screws in back and neck. The woman who i thought was going to seat me and my friend said we can put you in that table and I said politely I would prefer a booth because I have a bad back. She said something about being double.booked and i did not understand. I said there are three booths open and all of the sudden there are three or four employees looking at me like I am crazy. I left and went to Tony's. Had a great meal and a waitress with no attitude and a smile and I was so glad I tipped her a lot. I will be writing to corporate Denny's to tell them how they treat disabled veterans. I will not go to another one anywhere as long as I live. All I wanted was a decent meal and good service.
