I have been to the West Palm Beach location where I tried Rita’s for the first time during a vacation. It was so good that we went in every day to get a fresh ice cream cookie sandwich, which was made directly in front of us behind a clear glass. I was disapppinted when I asked for the same thing in the St. Augustine location, and received a pouch that contained a pre-made, completely frozen cookie sandwich that I couldn’t even bite into! It was so hard that I couldn’t even taste the flavor of the cookie or ice cream. We got out the car, and asked the girl at the window if they sold fresh cookies with the intention of buying the cookies, and some frozen custard on the side, and sitting in the car to create what I was looking for, but she very nicely told us they didn’t sell individual cookies. I put the frozen cookie back into the pouch, and just threw it away. Now I don’t know if this was all because “not all Rita’s are the same..” or maybe that location does not bake cookies, but we were so excited to have some Ritas again in St. Augustine. We were totally let down. Sad to say that we won’t go back.
Edit I understand now that they don’t have the same options as other Rita’s. Will change rating based on this...
Read moreFrozen Custard! This is one of the things I miss most moving from the Northeast to Florida. The chocolate Frozen custard was delicious and brought back memories! Their frozen custard is more dense than other Frozen custards because there's less air in there custard. In general prices seem to be in line what other establishments who sell frozen Custard. Staff was very friendly and establishment seem to be very clean. The only Pitfall was Lighting in the parking lot was awful. With a place like that having lines extend into parking spaces, it's very important to have good lighting.

Read moreTwo months ago we arrived to this destination about twenty minutes after opening hours. There was nobody to be found. We waited in the front a bit, looked through the window, they even looked closed. We left and was disappointed until we came across the ice cream joint down the street.
Today we stopped by hoping to give them a try since we missed out on the last time. We arrived to the window and found only 8 flavors of ice available with most being sweet and fruity. I was hoping for a mint chocolate chip like I've had at their location in CT, or maybe a cookies and cream. Their lack of flavors once again led us to move on even after getting all four of our kids...
