It isn't often that I wish I could leave 6 stars, but this is one of those rare instances. This isn't a gourmet restaurant but the absolute best in lattes, salads/sandwiches, and customer service. As a bonus, there is excellent artwork on the walls in the dining area and a spacious gallery in the back. The art gallery is actually how my daughter and I discovered this hidden gem while perusing the First Friday art galleries on King Street. We had to try the lattes (actually I had an Americano so I could sample the locally roasted espresso beans) and the flavor was incredible. My daughter's lavender latte was the best she's had with so much fluffy foam she was very happy. They bragged about their homemade cream cheese and NY (style?) bagels but stopped service for food at 3 on First Fridays. Well, we had to go back and have more coffee and figured the food would be a bonus from there. We ordered the bagel with homemade vanilla cream cheese topped with fresh strawberries and bananas, the beet salad, Nova bagel, and more lattes. The prices were reasonable for the items, but when the food came out we could not believe how large the portions were! During a time where other restaurants are shrinking portions, somehow they come through with a real value for your dollar. Amazing. There was enough lox on my bagel alone to match the cost of a package in the supermarket! But generous portions aside, the food was excellent. The homemade cream cheeses really shine through, so creamy and tasty like nothing I've had before from bagel shops. The bagels were outstanding and I need to buy some for home. Leave us here with our lattes and we were very, very, happy. But wait, there's more! The owner delivered two gratis bagels, one everything with scallion cream cheese and the other a blueberry with the vanilla cream cheese. No reason, just because. What a generous gesture! But he knew what he was doing, lol. So delicious, and we were stuffed at this point. But wait, there's more! Again! He asked if we liked chocolate, and who doesn't? Then he comes back with this super chocolatey rich brownie I had been eyeing in the case, accompanied by a large scoop of chocolate ice cream. Wow. A perfect ending to a great casual lunch, and of course we needed more lattes to wash it down properly. Pluses--great atmosphere, service, food, lattes, and an art gallery. Minuses--not a huge dining area but the turn around is pretty quick. Getting a table could be an issue if they are crowded and you have a large party. Parking is always a concern on King Street downtown, and you will want to come back frequently. Bottom line we will be back and next time we'll take home some bagels and the amazing cream cheeses to tide us over in between visits.

Sweetwater Coffee Bar & Gallery is an absolute gem! As a regular customer, I can confidently say that every visit is a delightful experience! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a fantastic meal. The staff here are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about their offerings. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a specialty coffee that's out of this world, they've got you covered. Their recommendations never disappoint, and you can tell they genuinely care about ensuring you have the best dining experience possible. The owner, Mike, is a true standout. He goes above and beyond to ensure every guest leaves with a smile. His attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of Sweetwater Coffee Bar & Gallery. It's clear he takes immense pride in his establishment, and it truly shows. One of the many things I love about Sweetwater is their all-day breakfast. The variety and quality of their breakfast items are outstanding. And when it comes to lunch, they knock it out of the park with a menu that offers something for everyone! The art gallery is a vibrant addition to the cafe, filled with an array of unique and captivating pieces that provide a feast for the eyes. It's a wonderful complement to the already fantastic dining experience. Having tried numerous specialty coffees,( mostly Latte's, Lavender, Toasted Coconut Honey, Cinnamon Bun, White Chocolate Raspberry and Chai) several breakfast items (I love the Eggel & Elvis & Baby Elvis!), and salads (The Beet, Nova & Chicken Salad is amazing!), I can confidently say that everything on the menu is exceptional. Each dish is prepared with care and attention, resulting in flavors that are simply out of this world. And let's not forget about the Brownies....OMG!! If you're looking for a locally-owned coffee shop that offers not only great food but also a warm and welcoming ambiance, look no further than Sweetwater Coffee Bar & Gallery. It's a true treasure in our community, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Whether you're a regular like me or a first-time visitor, you're in for a treat!

Last year (May ‘22), my wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Casa Monica. Laura and I are early birds, so when we were ready for a 7AM coffee, the only option we could find via Yelp was Sweetwater Coffee Bar and Gallery, across the street. We fell in love instantly, and continue to make the spontaneous 35 minute drive periodically from our home in RiverTown. The charm, where an art gallery meets a coffee and breakfast joint, provides instant comfort. Sweetwater is a family-owned and ran establishment as the father Mike oversees the kitchen for the restaurant that displays his wife and daughter’s artistic creations. The coffee flavors are just as impressive as the art hanging from the walls and ceiling. But my favorite characteristic of this restaurant, being a bigger guy, is the size of the scrumptious sandwiches- Easily the best BLT I’ve ever had, and I enjoyed it on a jalapeño and cheddar bagel! As we sit at our two-top by the window, every guest who walks in the door is greeted as if they are long, lost relatives. Many are known by name! Some of the Flagler Track and Field Team visited for breakfast today, and we overheard Mike saying that he had been in the kitchen since 6AM, making breakfast for the Flagler Volleyball Team. Customer service, supporting local, and sense of community is what I love to see! As Laura and I left this morning, we even discussed how visiting Sweetwater for breakfast and coffee instantly puts us in a great mood for the rest of the day. Visit ASAP for your instant-good-mood-guarantee đŸ€—
