I stopped at Wendy’s for lunch on 03/28/23. The drive-thru was busy. It was 1:30pm lunch time rush I thought, I was wrong! This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Wendy’s! As I was waiting in the line of cars at the drive thru I watched several people try to open the doors to the building and the doors were locked and nothing posted on the doors that the dining room was closed. It took 20 minutes to finally place my order. The car ahead of me waited at the window to get his order. He handed it back. The bag was full of fries! Then they handed him two more bags and he had to ask for a straw. Then I pulled up to the window. I ordered a Baconator combo. There were to employees running the drive thru window. A young man and an older red haired woman. The young man did his best to be polite but was clarly annoyed by the older woman. She asked me if I ordered a chicken sandwich? No I didn’t Then she asked if I ordered something else. I had to tell her 3 times what I ordered. She honestly looked and acted like she was high on something. She wasn’t wearing a name tag or Wendy’s uniform. She wore a filthy pink button up shirt. She had some odd grey scarf wrapped around her hair. She told me she gave my order to the car ahead of me. The young man said “Not again! You’ve got bags everywhere, nothings prepped right!” She rolled her eyes and said “I’ll make a new baconator” The line of cars at the drive thru was wrapped around the building by now. The young man handed me my drink and I waited for my order. He didn’t look at me or apologize for the wait. I paid for my order and asked for a receipt. He told me it would be in my bag. I finally got my order from the crack head woman. I asked for a straw and my receipt. She looked dumbfounded. She gave me a straw and told me “We don’t got no receipts, the machine thingy is broke” I left. I was concerned about eating my hamburger. No one was wearing gloves, and the red haired woman was touching food as she was trying to figure out which order was which. When she handed me my bag I noticed her hands were dirty with nicotine stained fingers with open cuts on her fingers! I was so disgusted I didn’t eat anything. The hamburger was not cooked in the middle, ketchup smeared all over the wrapper? under cooked bacon and soggy fries. I paid $13 for disgusting fast food! Horrible service! Avoid...
Read moreThere are few times that my faith in a place is destroyed completely due to an apparent inability to properly train their employees, or because the employees can not, or do not care to do the job they were hired to do. In fact there is only one place to ever achieve this feat, and that is McDonald's in St. George off Bluff. However Wendy's in St. George off the Blvd, and I15 has tipped the switch, and is now a place I will never return to. Twice now this restaurant's employees have tried ripping me off. The first time they succeeded, this time I was ready. On both occasions I ordered the Baconator meal large sized, on both occasions I paid, but when given my change no receipt was given to me. Pull forward collect my purchase, the first time I drove to my firefighting class before I found that instead of a Baconator I was given a Son of Baconator. When I called to speak with the manager on duty I was asked if I had the receipt, when I explained that I was not given a receipt the "manager" I was speaking to told me that everyone gets a receipt, and since I didn't have the receipt the cashier in drive thru did not give me there was nothing that could be done. Two years later I decided to give this a second chance. While ordering I had my last experience on mind, And repeated the order from my past visit here. I almost reiterated "Baconator, not The Son of Baconator". I refrained because no way possible they would make the same mistake twice, it had been 2 years... Well after collecting the food that was prepared for me my girlfriend started to pull out of the parking lot when I stopped her so I could check what was in the bag, the girls working the 2nd window handing drinks without straws wasn't reassuring. I could not believe that these people did exactly the same damn thing, and gave me The Son Of Baconator instead of the Baconator I ordered, and paid for. The same exact thing happens to the same person twice, with a two year separation can't be a coincidence... The employees are running scams. They are collecting the price for the Baconator, however they input an order for The Son of Baconator pocketing the difference. That's the only way I can imagine my experience even being possible... Sorry Wendy's I will not return, and I recommend to all beware...
Read moreSince the Wendy’s that closed by Cal ranch, I have been coming to this one. Staff a bit rude except 2 people so far (of the ones who mingle with customers). The took 10 minutes to grab my order. Only one person in front of us they were helping the entire time. And we had to stand there smelling a man who didn’t shower or clean up in at least a week. The cashier didn’t seem to know what she was doing for a second. And wasn’t in the mood to deal with people.
The place is semi spotless (inside). Outside can be deep cleaned. Sat at the tables and got black soot all over my son and I. Had to use baby wipes to clean it (helped a little).
The food is good like a 8/10. I have recieved cold fries half cold half hot. The cold we not old but still frozen cold. And the most recent thing is I paid for a kids meal and got no toy. I go back a couple days later and I mention it. All they said was I’ll make sure the toy is in. My son who doesn’t understand yet was upset cuz he didn’t get the make up toy for their mistake. If a customer mentions they messed up usually you get a makeup item. All I wanted one the toy I paid for the previous visit and they refused to even do that. I paid for it and I got gipped. So that just sets the tone that if they screw up an order they will be stingy and not make up for the next mistake.
So not I will have to sit at the window and go through my bags before I leave to confirm we get what we order. Just to avoid any...
