Norty's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

Food was excellent, among the best sushi I've had, but the service was terrible. I've only been once so it may have just been that it was a busy night or that our particular waiter was just bad but I'm not sure that I would go back. The layout of the restaurant was also a little cramped. There are two narrow aisles between tables so if you're headed to the bathroom (or to the bar because you're tired of waiting for the waiter to come back and get you a drink), you have to wait for traffic to clear up to get by. Our food took a long time to come out, but at least they recognized that and brought us some appetizers on the house. We had a late night reservation so probably shouldn't fault them on this, but there were a few things they ran out of that limited our options. They ran out of Dunkel so I had to go with another drink option that was good, but not really what I wanted. They also ran out of Salmon which we weren't told about until after we took the time to decide on our order which meant we had to reconsider half our choices. While I may be nitpicking a bit, all the little inconveniences and issues added up to a somewhat frustrating and disappointing experience that I'm not likely to attempt again soon. As far as recommendations go, we really enjoyed the crossroads roll. Yin and yang was like half flavor, half not. We really liked the half that was wrapped in seaweed (not sure if that was yin or if it was yang 😆). The mango tango was also really good. The spicy roll kinda lacked in flavor compared to the others...

My fiance and I decided to go to norty's Bar and Grill to have a nice Friday evening. Once we got there it was very strange. we were wanting to go shoot pool and we were hungry so we looked for a waitress.we went to our table and we started to shoot pool no one ever approached us, I then went to the bar and the bartender was waiting on everybody...the one woman behind the bar seemed to be the only one that was taking care of anything in the bar. there was another woman that was at the end of the bar with a blonde buzz cut.She was drinking a mixed drink, and mingling with guests. After asking the bartender if we could get some menus we noticed that the woman sitting at the end of the bar finally got up and was picking up some of the stuff that was on a table that was left from other patrons. The bartender ended up coming up and taking our order. she went back to the kitchen and it sure looked to us like she was actually cooking it as well. The other employee was sitting right back at the bar enjoying her mixed drink and mingling with guests. about 30 minutes later the bartender brought our food out to us and the blond was still sitting at the end of the bar drinking a mixed drink and mingling with guests. The food was okay, however very Bland. The bar area seem to be very dirty as well. In the window was four limes..they looked like they had been there for several weeks. I bet the first person that reads this review and goes and looks, those limes will...

Food was decent nothing special, maybe It could have been better if they got my order right but the reason for the "1" star is because I can't give them a Zero... Worst service I possibly ever had in my life! Took forever for our server to wait on us because she was too busy just hanging out with her friends that was setting at the bar.... Your work should come before friends I would think but not at Morty's and they really need to get rid of the 2 servers that was working on June 11th ... They are both very bad for...
