PepperJax Grill — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

Doesn't it look good. Well as the saying goes, looks can be VERY deceiving. Service was superrrrr slow, and I called like four times before I even arrived to place my order. When I walked in, they were carelessly "cleaning" the restaurant, but mostly standing around, talking.... To add to that, the manager came out the back and didn't even care that there was a long line piling in on a Sunday, but I guess why care about other people's time?

Okay, why the one star? I got the philly cheese steak which I thought was cooked well 🤢 The young lady added what looked to be day-old soggy tomatoes to my sandwich, and of course, instead of being impolite or wanting to cause a scene to tell her to take it off. I just accepted it, since service was already beyond slow and there were only two people working. WRONG MISTAKE❗ I was sick for literally 3 days, which I'm sure was either salmonella poisoning. The awful feeling I felt during those three days were so horrendous, I wouldn't wish I on my worse enemy. If you care anything about your health, stay away from this place or ensure that your meat is properly cooked and the veggies are fresh to date. Oh yeah, and the fries had so much seasoning salt on them, I couldn't even finish them. Thankfully, I didn't even want to. For those of you with high blood pressure, definitely don't order...

The food was fine. You must tell them you are there for an online order even though the app tells you when it will be ready. I waited 10 minutes before someone else mentioned they were waiting for an online order. There is no signage in the restaurant or ability to check in on the app so I figured my order was in line. Once made, it was given to the wrong person and was being remade when the guy on the line grabbed a random sandwich and dressed it to meet my order. They remade order was sitting hot on the grill ready to be put in the bread. The ordeal took over thirty minutes but was required to get the $5 philly. Someone mentioned the offer which was online only and left mad without their food when they wouldn't honor it. I understand that, but they could make online easier than in store ordering, instead of just an extra step. I will only order online in the future when there is a deal since there is absolutely no other advantage to it and it actually took over three time longer than just ordering at...

Walked in with other couples to hear one cook complaining about no slowing down on customers coming in. Other cook called him out on his attitude. No mushrooms in store until i got to the topping part of my bowl and there was mushrooms there. Final customer ordering before the lady cashier goes to fridge for a whole pan of mushrooms. Last one but there was mushrooms. Asked for a large fry with cheese while checking out she dropped some and only gave us a box for sandwich but only had maybe a small. Cashier was watching movie on phone and was acting so put out since she had to start waiting on customers. Charged us for drinks only to find out they had no pepsi, so i needed to buy a bottle. Every table dirty, chairs were just as bad, floor looked even worse. Womens bathroom flooded so out of order. Place looked like it hadn't been taken care of in a while. I would not recommend this...
