I live in this neighborhood and have been to this Chipotle enough to make what I consider to be a fair assessment. This is probably the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. The only reason I keep coming back is because we really love Chipotle as a whole, it's close to home, so the location is convenient, and the amount of time I end up waiting in line would be the same amount of time it'd take me to go elsewhere.
My biggest issue is that the service here is SO slow, with lines frequently backed up to the door. Our average wait time to get food falls around 10-15 minutes, which is long considering this is a fast food joint and also because I've been to a bunch of other locations with long lines and have been able to get my food in a fraction of the time. I think the staffing is on extreme ends of the spectrum - there's either too few or too many. Frequently I've seen them severely understaffed (like two people serving food, one at the reg, and one at the stove) during peak hours with lines out to the doors. But on several other occasions I've seen them with what appears to be a full staff around (about 10 people) and at least half of them are going on break or lingering around and socializing with each other during those peak busy hours. It's really weird.
If the lines aren't delayed due to slow, low, or inattentive staff, then they're often delayed due to food not being ready to replace empty containers. There have been a decent amount of times where people have literally just been standing at the counter waiting for their food for a while because it's just not ready yet.
The location itself is filthy. Napkins and garbage all over the floors. Often there is left over food all over multiple tables, chairs/benches, and floors after they've been vacated. It's gross enough that people leave a mess like that, but they don't have staff walking around regularly to pick up the garbage and keep the place cleaned. So we take our food to go.
Overall, the food is standard Chipotle. Have gotten a couple of gross containers of guac (hair in one, another not blended well, and another was almost brown), but other than that it's what you'd expect. My husband has been frustrated when he's asked for a double helping of meat or veggies on his bowl and he ends up with the same amount as a single serving he'd get at any other location, so there's that.
We'll keep coming back because, like I said earlier, we generally love Chipotle and the location is convenient. And there's part of us that keeps hoping the location will be under new management that will turn it around. If you come to this location, be prepared for it to take a while to...
Read moreI just went there to pick up a burrito for lunch and I got way too much food on it. Apparently they just put so much on that they couldn’t wrap the whole burrito. The worst part was the guy who was just stuffing everything in when he knew he filled it with too much of everything. I didn’t ask for that much. Then he turns to the woman at the cash register and says something under his breath that I couldn’t hear. She refused to bag my order and even thought that I was trying to pay for the guy behind me. Everything is so watery and full of liquid, no wonder they can’t just add something without the juices spilling out. I grabbed my wet burrito and bagged it myself as I got dirty looks from the cashier and her coworker. Neither one was a very good employee. Also, the guy who took my order at the start couldn’t tell me the difference between the two kinds of rice they had. I couldn’t tell if there was a difference between them anyway, so I just asked for “rice”. I took a look at the two troughs of rice and one was brownish in color while the other one wasn’t. I assumed there was a difference, but was told otherwise. Everything seems so bizarre there like they don’t like doing their jobs. Not sure I blame them based on what Chipotle pays. I have heard bad things about working for them.
Never order a burrito because you might ask for too much and the guy wrapping it will be really angry when he can’t fit everything in. I wasn’t really sure what to say but he didn’t say anything so I assumed he could do it. Instead I got a wet bag because my burrito was leaking everywhere. They either need to portion things or just give you a straight menu, but something seems completely off about the place. I couldn’t tell if I was supposed to know how much I was really adding each time. I have been to Chipotle over 5 years ago and this was the most recent time. It seems like everything has just gone downhill with the whole company. I remember when they had that bacteria infection in the meat in 2015? It seems like nothing has really changed with the company and now I know why I...
Read moreTruthfully the WORST and most UNCOMFORTABLE experience I’ve had at any restaurant period.
I started off my order by asking for 2 bowls and one with plain white rice. The lady serving me scoffed, rolled her eyes, and said “be for real” and tried to refuse my request. I insisted and I felt stupid for asking but I know Chipolte does this because I used to work at one and my partner literally has food poisoning so I could care less about the 3 second inconvenience (I get it’s annoying but like, I’m stressed out and I am the customer, you do as I say and you do it with a smile). That immediately put me off and made me upset and flustered but what came next… I seriously have no words.
The person behind me in line came in and approached the same lady. She asked her to change her gloves and me, as a previous employee, know this is because she probably had an allergy to something such as gluten and it’s not a big deal at all. THE LADY LITERALLY SAID “NO I’M NOT DOING THAT”. I was SHOCKED. The customer asked at least 3 more times and the employee started to get very verbally aggressive towards her. A coworker intervened and he immediately changed his gloves and used different serving utensils (LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO) to help this customer. The lady employee OUT LOUD said “you’ve got to be kidding me” and “this is so funny I’m lmaoing” as her coworker is doing her job and TO THE CUSTOMERS FACE. I watched the person behind me buy her bowl in literal tears because of how cruel and mean the employee was towards her and I myself had a rock in my stomach but I felt genuinely fearful of the employee so I kept my mouth shut (I regret that).
I walked out of this Chipolte utterly horrified. I watched someone get completely humiliated for something they couldn’t control and I still don’t understand how they hired someone like that. Do NOT go to...
