I hate coming to this location despite it being the closest to my apartment. I usually go out of my way to drive down to W7th where they treat you with respect. But today, I was late for my work from home job so it was quicker to stop in. I was the ONLY person inside at the moment when I opened the doors, yet still Ms. Ponytail ran around preparing online orders and ignoring me as usual...I stood there for like 3 long min before an extremely young girl came out of the bathroom slowly strolling behind the counter to take her place at the register and she made sure to take the time for her eyeballs to swell out of her head to observe my obese body , judging me ....when she should have been apologizing for my wait.... And Ms Ponytail thats been there a million years should have said something, like 'someone will be right with you' It's just annoying and bad vibes every single time I come in here....
*New visit: Still 1 star rating. "Normal" started a new job and I was "their" first customer. My order was as follows. LARGE HOT MEDIUM ROAST COFFEE. 1 CUP OF ALMOND MILK. 5 SUGARS. LEAVE A LITTLE ROOM SO I DONT SPILL. ~I repeated it twice and said is that too much? Cuz I could tell "they" weren't listening.....so I watch it fill the cup to the brim where any sudden movement sends burns down my hands so I said "Pardon me, Normal....thats too full I asked you to leave room" so this person became angry poured half the coffee down the drain which included the milk she just put in, that I just paid for...and started marching toward me prepared to give me the grimey cup that she spilled over and had coffee stains and was wet....the older long time coworker saw this and quickly steped in and provide me a new cup...so here comes the coffee, I was skimped on my milk not daring to complain any further for fear that "Normal" might punch me in the face...insult to injury she didn't put the sugars in, so I asked another girl to hand me some sugar. When "Normal" brought it to me, I said thank you and "they" GRUMBLED and walked away....I feel that my coffee this morning wasn't made with love. LOL
I'm not sure what "they" identify as but "their" Pro-nouns should be nut and case.
(I feel this tiny location should NO LONGER be taking ONLINE or APP orders. It's too small and too busy with people IN PERSON to cater to...
Read more7/8/18 Visit: New Barista placed my ice coffee on pick up platform w/o a straw. I asked for straw. She said 'No, they are over at the self serve stand, pointing behind me.' I asked once more for a straw as I was indicating they were next to her left side on the Barista Station. This time she shamed me by telling me that where I was pointing is why the "Sneeze Guard" is placed there so 'I can't reach for it' and again she told me to get my straw behind me. I again asked her for a straw. She shamed me and continued to tell me the straw location is behind me while FINALLY giving me the straw!("Good grief said Snoopy")
The piece of MISSING Customer service here is that EVERY cold drink COMES with a straw. EVERY Starbucks Store I have purchased an iced cold coffee/tea drink I have been handed my straw neatly set on top of the cup or along side of my drink on the counter.
NOW, this detail will make sense even further...My hands were FULL of a Starbucks purchase in a Starbucks bag... ALONG with my placing my just "loaded" membership card back into my wallet.
I actually hope this Barista was not the "usual" person or RE,-MSG them as this VERBAL-TUSSLE is shocking. To ask for an item and during the length of her argument she could have served it to me and not made me feel uncomfortable for asking...
Read moreStaff talk about customer they are servicing. I had asked for no ice in my water after being ignored the first time. Barista rudely walks off as I am still speaking. Than contuines to roll her eyes and talks about me with another co-worker as I am still standing there. Disacknowledging the many drinks and Starbuck products I’ve purchased at this location. Staff display lack of accountability, respect and acknowledgement and display signs of privilege. Unprofessional staff, mock and bilittle minority customers. Unwelcoming to those of different socioeconomic and diverse population. After returning and observing other interactions with customers of diverse populations. I’ve witness baristas contuine to talk about customers of diverse populations, calling one customer with an accent “idiot” after she had left. Loud enough for both staff and customers to hear. Staff lack culture competence and deflect their responsibilities of providing efficient and welcoming customer service. As a long time customer of Starbucks, its saddens me to no longer continue my support in purchasing products. I highly recommend those of surrounding areas from diverse populations to find alternative products and not support places like this, in which contuine to not acknowledge those of diverse...
