So, I am a regular at the smoothie king down the street (zuhmbel location, id give them 7/5 stars) . I went to this location twice because it is close to my work and both times it was horrendous. The last time I went in, some girl (i think her name was paige maybe) made the first smoothie king shake I have ever had that was inedible. I waited like 5-10 mins even though they were not very busy. The young lady combined the ingredients...blended the smoothie for a few mins. Then stared at the blender in horror..passed it around to the two extremely old women working with her. Told me my shake would be up in a minute and then handed me a shake that tasted like a brown paper bag and sandpaper. I've had a billion smoothie king shakes in my life, and this location made the two worst ones I've ever had. Go five minutes down the road yo zuhmbel road. The smoothies themselves are usually made well enough and don't take long. But the staff isn't particularly friendly. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are unfriendly so much as they are very uninviting. Don't think I've ever really had one of them say anything to me after my multiple visits beyond the routine retail "what can I get for you, I can help you here, thank you have a good day" stuff, but none of it is ever said with a smile or enthusiasm.
Other smoothie king locations seem to have much more friendly and open staff that'll actually interact with you but this particular one seems to have nothing but somewhat moody girls going through the motions.
I'll continue going for the filling smoothie as it is a healthy alternative, but it is a definite drawback that this happens to be...

NO A/C HERE DUE TO OWNER!
I went in yesterday with my daughter after the park. It was hot outside, but even hotter inside. I asked the girls working there if the A/C was broken and she said "no, the owner doesn't allow us to touch the thermostat and it was always this hot in here." I was completely stunned (and sweating).
I felt terrible for those poor girls having to work in a stuffy hot room all day. I won't be going to this location anymore in the future since I can't relax in there and have a nice outing with my family.
The staff was super helpful and super sweet, so I have it 2 stars...
