The woman working here was unspeakably rude to me. I came for coffee but was enchanted by the fancy teas and pretty cups, so I shopped for a while. Perhaps 10 minutes. I had selected a couple of things, but left them on the shelves to use their (publicly visible and accessible) restroom. A couple of minutes later the woman knocked on the door, loudly asking if “I was ok”. Bizarre. I came out, texting a friend to ask if she wanted something from the shop, and noticed this woman was standing there with her arms folded, glaring daggers at me. Positively murdering me with her eyes. I look up, and she demands to know if there’s “anything I can help you with in MY store???”.
I was so taken aback, and realized she must have thought I was stealing. I had my backpack, because I thought they had proper indoor seating and planned to have coffee and work. I didn’t want to escalate with this woman, since escalating with people like that never accomplishes anything. So I stayed as polite as I could, and commented that I was trying to choose between two ($33/box) teas. I asked her if she had ever tried them, and, still glaring at me, she snaps that she’s never tried any of them. Ooooookay, cool.
So I grab my tea, buy some chocolates, abandon the idea of getting coffee here, and leave.
The first couple of chocolates I had were fine. The third tasted a bit musty and off. I bit into the fourth and set it down, then noticed it was full of mold.
So, yeah.
I know food spoilage happens. You couldn’t see it-it was inside the shell of chocolate. However, between that and the incredibly rude staff member, I won’t be back and can’t recommend it to anyone...
Read moreUnfortunately the top of the cake was not the dome of flowers that was promised but gappy flat mess that from the profile the center flower could not be seen and gaps around center flower and between flowers. The cake was a part of the wedding package thru the hotel. She gave back $22 dollars for the topper that we paid extra for and then after that the hotel got involved and she refunded for the extra for dummy layer. At my reception the wedding coordinator saw me as I first looked at the cake and asked what was wrong and I said "she messed up the top of the cake". Unfortunately it looked so bad to me I could not share the cake pictures and Christy at Sweet Divas will not explain why she changed the design of the topper from the picture she gave me. The black and white picture was the example picture provided by Sweet Divas and the color picture was the topper actually looked like. You tell me, does what was delivered looked like the dome of flowers I was expecting?
A token $99 dollars and sorry that the cake did not live up to my expectations does not fix the fact the top looked bad in the pictures and the pictures cannot be redone. The cake was the first thing the guests saw and was my only decoration in the room since small wedding. I dreamed of a beautiful cake, beautiful cake pictures. The most important was the top of the cake, I always said dome of roses, by it being bad it ruined the cake as a whole. Every picture had the bad topper in it.
Now from Google I see another bride whose wedding was 2 months before mine who had her cake look bad as well and her cake was a part of the hotel...
Read moreIf you are from any descent other than Native American, I recommend not buying from this shop. I bought four small scoops of ice cream which are $4.50 each. I wanted to change one of the scoops of ice cream for another one and was told "That is not my business" by the manager. I told her I understood it wasn't her business and it was my fault for not liking the product and she kept repeating it wasn't her business. She finally scooped up another small cup of ice cream for me as she kept repeating that I should be thankful that she is giving me a "free" ice cream scoop...although I had already paid for it and just wanted it replaced for another scoop. She said "If you want this scoop for free, all you need to do is leave me a good review on Facebook or Instagram". As I left the shop the cashier said "We are on Yelp too".
I HAVE NEVER seen someone be so nasty, rude and offensive because a customer wanted a ICECREAM SCOOP exchanged.
-As my mother and I sat outside eating our ice cream she gave us nasty, grossed out and ashamed glares and stares for being Hispanic Americans.
So..if you aren't Native American I'm sure there are many other non-rascist ice cream...
