Alright, buckle up buttercup, because I just experienced what I can only describe as an utter ice cream travesty at The Yard Milkshake Bar and I'm here to warn you. I have no idea what all the tourists are describing when giving this place extra stars. If you're looking for nuanced flavors, a creamy texture, or anything resembling actual ice cream, steer clear. This place is an assault on the taste buds. I ordered what was allegedly "triple chocolate" ice cream, and I'm pretty sure I just ate frozen sugar Seriously, the chocolate flavor tasted like the kind of artificial flavoring you'd find in a discount candy bar that's been sitting on the shelf for a decade. It had that weird, almost chemical aftertaste that lingered for an uncomfortably long time. I'm talking about the kind of aftertaste that makes you question your life choices. And the sweetness? Oh. My. Goodness. It was like they were trying to compensate for the lack of actual flavor by just dumping in a truckload of sugar. I'm pretty sure my teeth started to ache before I even finished half the scoop. I wouldn't be surprised if I developed a cavity just from writing this review. Honestly, I've had better ice cream from the frozen food aisle at the gas station. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to satisfy your sweet tooth. Luckily, there are at least 3 very nice ice-cream and gelato places just around the corner. Your taste buds will thank you. You've...
Read moreYesterday I went to the Yard Milkshake in St Petersburg with my family that was visiting us, and after driving about 1 hour to get to this place I have the most disappointed experiences, it was a cashier taking order her name is kali and she didn't give us not even a pleasant greeting and she was really rude with me and the rest of the family. She needs some education and how to treat others and be equal. we ask Kali to change one of the ice cream to a glass because they want to take it to remember the moment with us and, she very rude less with this madness voice said no because she already put it in the regular cup we didn't understood why because at the moment she only had a scoop of ice cream. Next dissatisfaction was that I ask her if she had any of her dairy free ice cream and instead of answer she appointed me to the register where she has a sign, that was really rude. I understand we were 7 people for only two people take care of us, but at the moment we got there no one were there they only have us as customers. I didn't understood the rudeness. we spend 70.51 dollars and I didn't order my and my son in law because of this situations.it was an awful experience. Can the owner answer me please....
Read moreWe were visiting the Yard St pete excited to see their new location as we always go to he one in carrowood, we were standing in line looking towards the prep area and it came to my surprise and complete disgusts an employee using her finger to put the Milkshake into one of the yard glasses. I was shocked just couldn't believe what I saw she was wearing gloves but kept putting her fingers into the metal cup to put it into the Glass cup. I thought to myself maybe she will change her gloves.... NO she kept grabbing things from the fridge and adding ingredients to the Milkshake, she even wiped her hands in her clothes. So disgusting I wanted to throw up and we had to leave. I hope the manager of this store looks at the cameras it all happened November 5th 915pm. We will never go there again and I truly hope they tell the employee who honestly doesn't care about the image of the yard or being clean at the work place She could have easily used a spoon. SO GROSS I'm so sorry for the person who ate the...
