Today I attended a family dinner at this restaurant. I came in after my party(22 people) and at no point was asked if I'd like anything to drink.
26 minutes after I sat down I asked my waiter for a drink. A couple minute's later we got our appetizers.
15 minutes later a delicious looking drink was set in front of me. I noticed what looked like an eyelash in the drink; I went to pull it out and it just kept going... a 10inch black hair came out of my drink!
I asked my server Dyllan if I could have another drink due to the hair but not before I pressed some bright green artichoke dip to the underneath the of stem my glass.
10 minutes later a "new drink" that Dyllan said he made himself was placed in front of me. Oddly enough my "new" glass had some bright green artichoke dip in the same spot I had placed it on my old glass.
So if the glass is the same we can assume the drink is the same. Do I even ask for a new drink at this point or do I just tell him I no longer want the drink? How to I handle this situation where my waiter isn't made to be embarrassed but also get a drink that is sanitized?
He comes back with our entrees and here is our conversation
" may I please have a new drink because this is the same glass. I marked the glass before it left the table"
" oh well I had given it to the bartender to make a new one but I'll get you another glass"
Dyllan leaves while the old drink is left on the table
At this point I'm very confused because Dyllan just told me he made me a new drink but when confronted someone else made the drink? The lack of honesty and integrity is incredible especially when you are forced to pay gratuity...
A third drink is placed on the table (really a second drink) and it is delicious but it didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it unfortunately.
After we pay the manger Bobby was approached about this situation and all she said was " I'll talk to him about that"
I have never taken the time to write a yelp review because usually if I have an issue the staff is eager to correct it and make me a satisfied. However, this establishment is incredibly lack luster and I will never come back. Neither will the 21...
Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews like this, but I felt like I had to say something because I was genuinely surprised by how underwhelming the food was, especially given the concept and atmosphere.
I ordered the Painted Hills brisket, which was described as brisket with ancho chili crème over polenta, topped with crispy onions. What I got looked and tasted more like cheesy mashed potatoes with bland brisket, French’s onions on top, and barbecue sauce drizzled over it. It felt like something a college roommate might throw together—no real depth of flavor, and nothing about it felt intentional.
We also ordered the Korean BBQ chicken skewers, which I had high hopes for. I was expecting charred, flavorful, marinated chicken with a rich Thai-style peanut sauce. Instead, it looked like poached chicken breast lightly coated in a very watery, bland sauce, served on a bed of soggy arugula. There was no sear, no real seasoning, and definitely no punch.
The garlic bread was actually one of the better parts of the meal, though it had an unexpected spicy kick I wasn’t ready for. Maybe that’s on me, but it still felt odd. We also tried the dolmas with honey and feta. There was an overwhelming amount of feta piled on top and not much flavor overall. I usually enjoy dolmas, and these just didn’t land.
The best part of the meal was the wine, and our server was kind and attentive. I appreciated that he offered to take anything back when we said we weren’t loving the food, but we were hungry and tired, so we just ate what we could. My friend finished his brisket plate out of sheer principle, definitely not because he enjoyed it. I left most of mine behind.
The server gave us two $10-off coupons (can’t be used in the same visit), which was a nice gesture. I might come back for a glass of wine, but I’m honestly hesitant to try the food again.
Overall, the concept of the restaurant is cool, and the vibe had potential, but the execution just didn’t live up to the expectation. I really wanted to like it, but the meal felt disconnected from the menu descriptions and lacking flavor...
Read moreI have eaten at Amadeus many times and every time has been an amazing experience with delicious food and great service. Sadly, tonight was anything but. The appetizers were okay (fried artichoke hearts and vegetable plate) but the salad was way overdressed. Unfortunately it got worse from there. I ordered chicken bucatini as my entree. I get it and it looks awful and absolutely covered in bread crumbs. Still, I was hoping it tasted better than it looked. I took a bite, the pasta was over cooked, the sauce was flavorless and the bread crumbs made it hard to really even taste anything, along with an unpleasant texture. Taste a bite of the chicken, overcooked and no flavor. The final straw was the broccoli. It was severely undercooked, bordering on raw. I could not stab it with my fork even. In the picture you can see by the stem, it looks practically raw. The waitress already wasn’t very attentive and she didn’t ask how the food was. She could clearly see I hardly touched my plate. Even though she didn’t ask, I told her the broccoli was really undercooked and there was way too much of the breadcrumbs (the biggest issues) and she just says she’ll tell the kitchen. I doubt she did. Then she takes my plate and insists on boxing it up. I think she was justifying it being on the bill. I am not one to complain, but that food was frankly inedible and I’m upset by the experience, but more so the food quality going so drastically downhill. I’m not sure if they have a new chef, the old one was out or I don’t know what the problem was tonight. We were celebrating our anniversary and besides the $10 thanks for celebrating coupon for next time- I’m on the fence if there will be a next time after this as this place isn’t cheap, the quality from before isn’t there and I left hungry. All in all, it was a big...
