Edit to owner: I appreciate the appology and offer to refund. I paid cash for the hole transaction, so you must have refunded another customer on accident. I am not looking for a refund, but do appreciate the offer and response. We will chalk it up to a misunderstanding.
Very strange and confusing experience here today. I called to place the same to go order I always do and the exact same to go order I placed yesterday. This order includes mac & cheese. After placing my order today by phone and getting ready to go pickup, I received a call back stating they do not do Mac & cheese to go and only dine in. I was very confused by this because I got it to go yesterday and every other time before no problem. I asked why, and explained that I literally got the exact same order to go yesterday. They said the kitchen does not want to make it to go today. I then jokingly said, can I get rest of the order to go and get the Mac and cheese for there and put it in a to go container when I arrive? I was actually joking because this made no sense. I arrived to pickup the order, and sure enough, they had everything packed up to go except the Mac & cheese. It was on a plate and the guy had the same empty to go container that they always put it in ready for me. It's like he just didn't want to move it from the plate to the container. I grabbed the container from him, scooped the Mac & Cheese from the plate into the to go container myself, right there at the front counter with everyone staring at me. I had no problem doing this, but the hole thing made absolutely zero sense. Why wouldn't they just put it in a container in back like they do every other time and like they did with the rest of the food I ordered? I then forgot my to go coffee drinks sitting on the counter because I was so confused shoveling Mac & Chees into a to go container at the front counter in front of 10 people waiting for their orders. I felt like I was in a twilight Zone or Seinfeld episode. I also tipped them 30 percent because I didn't actually think they would bring out a fresh plate of Mac & Cheese and tell me to scoop it from the plate into a to go container. The hole thing just felt so...
Read moreMy first visit, I ordered a bagel and unfortunately experienced a lengthy wait of over 30 minutes. It appears that I was overlooked due to the tension among the workers, with one male individual constantly monitoring the worker helping me and criticizing her actions as "wrong." Despite this, I was graciously offered a complimentary cookie for the extended wait, while other customers around me had already received their orders and departed.
For my second visit I opted to utilize the mobile app to avoid another prolonged wait. The app indicated a 10-minute wait time. Upon my arrival approximately 15 minutes later I approached the front to inquire about my order for pickup. As the app does not provide an option for add-ons I was required payment of the difference in-store (which is no problem). I appreciated the opportunity to settle the payment without waiting for the remainder of customers to order.
Despite these efforts, my order was still not ready prompting me to wait another 10 minutes. Upon reminding the staff that it had almost been 30 minutes since placing my order and expressing my need to depart, a staff member retrieved the bagel from the back. Upon reaching my destination, I discovered that the additional item I had paid for in-store had not been included with the bagel. I returned to the shop to address the oversight, only to feel dismissed. At that point I had requested for a refund, as I was already late for work and unable to enjoy my meal.
Regrettably, I was informed that the refund process would be attended to at a later time, leaving me concerned about the resolution and potential need for further action. It appears that the expectations of this coffee shop may not align with my preferences for efficient service. Consequently, I will have to seek an alternative coffee shop for...
