Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Salina

I can't say enough great things about our recent dining experience at Applebee's in Salina! From start to finish, everything was fantastic.

We came in as a party of six, which can often mean a long wait at many restaurants. However, we were seated immediately, and that was a pleasant surprise--especially considering it was a busy evening. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a night out with friends.

Our server, Maci, was absolutely incredible. She greeted us with a bright smile and friendly energy, setting the tone for a great experience. Maci was attentive and efficient, ensuring that every member of our party had everything they needed without ever feeling rushed. She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, which made our evening all the more enjoyable.

As for the food, I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, and it was nothing short of perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the shrimp was cooked just right, and the Cajun spices added a fantastic kick. The sizzling presentation elevated the dish even further. It was hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Everyone else at our table raved about their meals as well.

To top it off, the service was incredibly fast, especially for a party of six. Drinks were refilled promptly, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Maci truly went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience.

Overall, this Applebee's exceeded all expectations. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere--it doesn't get better than that. If you're in Salina, I highly recommend stopping by, and if you're lucky enough to have Maci as your server, you're in for a treat! Five stars...

I was really impressed with this Applebees. I was travelling that day and had just gotten into town with all my bags, so I know I looked like a complete mess. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very nice and clean.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with the waffle fries for a slight upcharge. Totally worth it. Fries were hot and crispy with a nice season. Burger was excellent. Bacon was cruchy, buger was cooked at medium well, but very juicy and perfectly seasoned - sometimes places go a little heavy on the salt- that was not the case at all here. Plenty of cheese but not too much so it balanced perfectly with the burger and the bacon. The veggies were crisp and fresh which offered a nice contrast to the meat and cheese really rounding out the burger. Excellent work!

For dessert I got the Brownie Bite. Menu describes as the perfect size brownie with a small scoop of ice cream and a chocolate drizzle. Description, as you can see from photo, was accurate. This really was the perfect amount for 1 person. Nice wedge of brownie served warm with scoop of vanilla ice cream on side. Again excellent work and at 1.99, INCREDIBLY REASONABLE!

Worst Applebee’s employees I’ve ever experienced. The heavy woman with cotton candy colored hair working behind the bar when I came in was incredibly rude from the get-go.

Shortly after I sat down she came near me while making other drinks and asked me what I wanted. I politely asked for a cocktail. After I said that, she didn’t make a sound, move her head, look at me, or do anything to acknowledge that she heard me. I assumed that she was busy and didn’t hear me so I didn’t say anything else and waited for her to come back. She came back 5 minutes later with my drink; dropped it off and walked right off without saying a word.

After that incredibly poor service I chose to finish my drink as fast as possible, pay, and then go across the street for my dinner instead. I obviously left a $0 tip on my $6 bill, but that’s not what I was charged.

This happened last month, but I just found out with my most recent billing statement that my lovely bartender left herself a $4 tip for herself on my card when I certainly left nothing.
