Koi Ramen — Restaurant in Salina

Not Authentic, Extremely Disappointed: Bad Tea, Bad Ramen. As someone who's traveled the country and been to countless ramen shops, this place is very sub-par. To the average American with minimal experience with traditional ethnic foods, this place might be somewhat good. But to an ethnic food connoisseur as myself, this place under delivers.

The tea was presented as a bag with some hot water in a plastic jug (microplastics yay). I had to pour myself in a glass cup for $3.50.

The ramen that I specifically asked for firm noodles came out with very soggy noodles, tasteless broth, and flavorless beef. With a cheap plastic spon to go with. Couldn't even finish eating it due to the previously mentioned. In a plastic bowl also...

The "Steam Pork Buns" were more like Asian style pork tacos, not at all what I was expecting.

Only redeeming factor is some of the cool looking artwork. That said, nobody wants to listen to western pop while eating "authentic" Japanese food.

You can only call this place "authentic" if you think McDonalds is an authentic representation of American Burgers when compared to 5 guys or your old 70-80s themed local burger joint.

Hopefully, the other ramen shop in town lives up to the reviews, as this one didn't. Will likely never...

Extremely disappointed and unsafe experience!

I would’ve given zero stars if I could! I’m so disappointed and honestly shocked by how careless this place is. I ordered takeout and clearly wrote and told them that I’m allergic to nuts and sesame, asking them not to put any on my food. When I opened my order when I got home, my sushi rolls were covered with sesame seeds. I called the restaurant right away, and the sever picked it up and I asked to speak to the manager , and she told me to just remove the sesame seeds myself, saying it “wasn’t a big deal.” When I tried to explain that I have an allergy, he said they were busy and didn’t even sound sorry — then hung up on me!! This is not only rude but also dangerous. Food allergies are serious, and this kind of attitude could actually harm someone. They clearly don’t care about their customers’ safety at all. No apology, no responsibility. That’s completely unacceptable and dangerous. If you have any allergies, don’t order from this place, stay away from this placeeeeee, they clearly don’t care about...

Absolutely disgusting experience. I was really looking forward to some good sushi with my family that day. When I first sat down, the tables were sticky, the soy sauce bottles looked like they hadn’t been wiped in days, and I even saw bits of old food on the floor near the sushi bar area. Then halfway through my meal I found a HAIRRR in my sushi roll. That completely ruined my appetite. When I told the staff, they didn’t even seem that surprised or apologetic — just offered to replace it, which honestly made it worse because I’d already lost all trust in the hygiene here. I ended up leaving half my meal because I couldn’t stop thinking about how dirty everything felt. right about I was going to leave, i noticed a spider web hanging by the side of my table, I pointed out to the staff , but they didn’t seem to care much when I pointed it out either, which made it even worse.
