We've been here a couple of times. Food is always decent - it's not the best sushi you'll ever eat, but it's good for central Kansas. The service has always been decent. I'm giving them 1 star because of the atmosphere. We were at Daimaru last night and there was a physical altercation at the bar area that lasted for 10 straight minutes. We heard screaming and glasses being thrown. During this episode, we saw several staff members walking around looking at the fight, but not addressing it or addressing us to let us know it was under control. Nobody said a word. The altercation finally ended, and our food arrived at the table. I could still hear someone at the bar area laughing and talking very loud, and I kept getting nervous that the fight would start again. I continued to hear the person talking loudly until we left. When we walked by the bar area, the person talking loudly was a staff member and there was still glass all over the floor. It had been about 40 minutes since the altercation ended, and nobody bothered to clean up the glass. The whole situation was very strange, seems like a waitress or bartender for the restaurant was involved in the fight. The experience was terrible for us as a guest, would have been a lot better if someone had addressed the situation with all guests to let us know the fight was over. Would have been a lot better if the staff involved was professional and considerate of the guests in the restaurant. Would have been a lot better if someone had cleaned up the glass. We won't be back, because it felt like everyone there was comfortable and accepting of what happened and I'm afraid it'll just...
Read moreWe loved it here! Expect to spend $50 for two people +drinks. We had an amazing server, Angelina. Tthe food came out quick, and it wasn't too crowded. Our cups were always filled and she was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu options. My favorites were the crazy roll and shrimp tempura. My husband likes the Rainbow roll and USA roll (USA roll is deep fried). I would come again just for the salad. Ask for the house dressing, it is AMAZING. I am normally a 'ranch on the side' person, but I loved theirs. For appetizers, I reccomend the Beef Tataki. I attached pictures. It was flavorful and not overcooked.
My husband said the cheesecake was good, he had the strawberry.
5/5 accessibility ♿️ pretty good parking, and no steps. 5/5 Baby friendly. Changing station in the bathroom, highchair available, and the booths are long.
UPDATED: Moste recent visit. Friday Lunch
Chuck roll - raw salmon, I would have liked less cream cheese Big John roll-fried with cream cheese Us roll- fried without cream cheese. I like better Rainbow roll- great

I LOVED the house salads dressing last time we came, but today it was not great, and I wouldn't order it again. On second thought, maybe the waitress gave me the ginger dressing last time and house this time. I would recommend trying the ginger
Service wasn't great this time. I'm glad it wasn't my first experience. Waited over 10...
Read moreHad a terrible first experience for my family here last night. The food tasted good however the chef was rude and couldn't cook and do tricks. He said he was ready to go home so we all were getting fried rice and never did any of the usual stunts you normally see at these. He simply cut to the chase and cooked meat on grill behind him and noodles in front of us. A couple was there with us and was eating a birthday dinner and was appalled at the lack of friendliness and energy to have a show as much as I was. They assured me it never had been this way before but I had 4 kids and my woman with me who had never been before and it ruined it for me. I never would pay the prices you pay at this venue without the show. They need to fire the cook or discover a different option for the behaviors. I won't go back to this place. at the end I told my family to go out to the truck and I talked to the manager she comped half my meal which was fair bit now I still need to take them to a place that cares enough to be what it was for me. Anyways the waiter wasn't any good either she ignored my questions and was trying to get out of there. We went in at 812pm and they close at 10 but were trying to throw us out before they cooked our meal. They brought us Togo containers instead of even asking if we enjoyed or needed anything 5 minutes after we were served. Wow is all I have. Ppl don't go spend 200$ for rice and some noodles they come for the experience and this...
