Tonight at Starbucks, we stopped to grab a quick sandwich. As my husband went to pay, the cashier asked if he wanted a receipt, he declined, and she met him halfway with the debit card reader. He noticed the absence of the tip option and just assumed she hit zero before handing the card reader out the window. He tapped his card to pay for the sandwich and noticed that she was covering the screen with her hand so he then requested a receipt for the transaction and found that she gave herself a $5 tip on a $5.27 sandwich. When he went inside she denied doing this, stated it is not possible, and then told my husband he would have needed to select it. (I am able to confirm that no tip screen populated to give him the option.) The other employee said they were the manager and refunded the amount before performing a separate transaction for the sandwich.
If you have been through this Starbucks recently, I recommend you always get a receipt to verify the final amount of the purchase and verify the final amount on your bank statement. Tips often don't go immediately on the amount that shows up on your bank statement so you might need to check a few days later to verify.
I would also encourage Starbucks to audit its tips and tip percentages at this location. I can guarantee that the combination of no receipt + this employee + drive-through is going to generate a pattern of higher-than-average tip...
Read moreMy wife asked for regular coffee with steam cream. She came back to car and she is saying this Starbucks never make my coffee right! I took the coffee inside and asked for supervisor. I am asking her is this coffee has a steam cream in it?! I am of course frustrated because she says yes it has steam cream in it! She doesn’t ask the person first who make this coffee. I drink coffee every day in the morning and I am a Starbucks customer. I was a bartender at restaurant too. I told her make a steam cream for me first and show it to me before to add it to my coffee. She keeps saying that I need to come down and I do that and I have to leave after that! She doesn’t solve the issue and keep escalating my frustration and doesn’t know how she should solve the issues!! She made a steam cream and I said okay that is steam cream. Steam cream goes on top. She said that here we put a steam cream first in the cup! She just want to say that she is right! Okay lady you are right but you don’t deserve to be a manager at this place! You didn’t figure the situation first what is happening and you escalated my frustration with your customer service. Here what I handle the situation! I will say I am sorry. I will make you another coffee with steam cream and will ask the person if he or she put a steam cream in my coffee. Not good start...
Read moreSadly I’m giving this a one star not from the store but for this customer experience. I used to go to this Starbucks regularly in Salisbury considering I used to manage the T-Mobile location next door. I go in to get coffee and order from Bridgette I think her was her name. She was very nice and great manners. After she took my order the other lady, blonde, older, unfortunately I do not know her name, was talking outside the drive thru window doing absolutely nothing. Showing pics on her phone and everything that wasn’t her job. I know the manager at this location and I know for a fact she conducts great customer service and has her employees do the same. After another person comes in the drive thru, Bridgette starting making my drinks and the other lady wanted to do her job all of a sudden. She told Bridgette to “pick a side” at the station because Bridgette was trying to make two drinks at the same time to make sure I wasn’t waiting any longer. Thank you Bridgette for your hard work and...
