Aces High Saloon — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I can't express how incredible of an atmosphere this bar has for shows. My partner and I went to see Revocation, Judiciary, Inferi, and Vomit Forth last night and were blown away.

As Midwest natives that recently moved to Utah, we really didn't expect to experience such a diamond in the rough venue. The bars aesthetic, the crowds energy, and the overall vibe was extremely welcoming and authentic. Not to mention the impeccable sound quality (kudos to the audio engineer) throughout the entire show.

10/10 experience that seemingly transported me back to the nostalgia of early 2000s metal shows. I wish there were even a handful of other locations that could emulate what Aces High provides. We didn't have an opportunity to grab any of their food but the drinks were fairly priced and the bartender(s) were extremely attentive. Before I state anything I would like to say that I have been a bouncer in the service industry for the last 6 years. So when it comes to how guests should be treated when coming in to an establishment, I originally thought that I had a good idea and standard of how an experience should go for them. But after the times that I’ve come here; I feel like my bar of expectations was buried underground. The respect, care and hospitality that I receive every time I walk in the door of aces makes me feel like I’m walking into my own home. It doesn’t matter if I’m coming in for a drink, a show or even a simple bite to eat. Every member of the staff treats me like I’ve known them for years to the point that I stay for hours even if I’ve intended to be there for minutes. The food, drink, staff and environment of this bar creates an experience like none other. So if you’ve been procrastinating coming here just know that you’re missing out! Thank you to aces and everyone that keeps it running...

I wish I knew about this place a long time ago so I could have been going more often! I haven't been to any events yet, but it looks like it'd be a good vibe considering how nice the staff is. Highly recommend the French dip... it's the best I've had in Utah so far. They have a taco Tuesday and took my food allergies seriously. I'm not Vegan, but they have a pretty bangin vegan menu as well

Update: Finally come out for a show tonight. The bartenders were kind and awesome. And the patrons were super honest, respectful, and super nice. I've never seen a pit where people high five and hug each other after. Or where someone drops their phone and someone picks it up and tracks down the person it belong to. But I did there....
