This is a new favorite place to eat! The service and food was excellent! The dine-in area was was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The waitresses and serving staff were amazing! The waitress seated us and gave us a wooden spoon with our seating arrangement written on it, asked for our choice of drinks and soup, then guided us to the self-serve section of the restaurant. These meals are all- you- can- eat so it was set up in an appropriate manner. We took a bowl and helped ourselves to our choice of plain white rice or fried rice, our choice of noodles and then the toppings and sauces of our choice. There was a wide variety of vegetables and fruits to choose from. Then we took a plastic stir stick that corresponded with the meats we wanted to eat and left these sticks and our wooden spoon in our bowls near the area where the food was stir fried. When we returned to our seats our soup and drinks were at our places, and when the food was finished the waitress brought it to our table according to our place at the table. It was quite a unique experience for me.
I had the fried rice, three types of noodles, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, green peppers, water chestnuts, pineapple, and Charlie Chow's specialty sauce. I chose chicken, pork, and beef. It was perfectly cooked and had a fabulous flavor! A waitress came by the table and refilled our drinks, and asked if we'd like to get another plateful. The food was so good that I really wanted to try more with a different veggie combo and different sauces, but I was too full. I now have a great reason to go back again! This place is a winner in my book! I give it ten thumbs up!
Ps, I totally forgot to add a picture of my...
Read moreMy husband and I have been going to Charlie Chow's for 7 years. His family have been eating here even longer. We love this place! We only ever get the dragon grill, but it is so worth it. The Charlie Chow's sauce is my favorite sauce to get. I like to do almost 2 scoops of that, one scoop of black pepper sauce, and a little bit of sesame oil. You can load it all up with whatever veggies you want and then add the meat sticks at the end. I've never gotten a bad plate because I can choose what I want. You do occasionally get food from other orders on your plate, so allergies beware. My son is allergic to peanuts and eggs and had an allergic reaction when we took him here one time, so it's just a place we don't bring him. It's pretty unavoidable at a place like this.
The only real complaint we have is how stingy they are with the meat. Sure, you can go back as many times as you want, but they don't add a ton of meat. I have even experimented over the years to see if adding more sticks that specify what meat you want gets you more meat, but it really doesn't. It's still absolutely delicious though. My very favorite thing to do is, when the line isn't very busy, put a scoop and a half of Charlie Chow's sauce in a bowl all by itself and add a bunch of shrimp sticks for them to add shrimp. It's one of my favorite things to eat anywhere.
*Tip for the Dragon Grill: If the restaurant is at all busy and you know you will want a second plate (you typically will), as soon as your first plate arrives, take you wooden stick and make another plate. The second plate will typically arrive around the time you finish your first plate if you...
Read moreHad the worst dining experience in Charlie Chow's Dragon Grill tonight. It was our first time being there, and it will be our last time there too. First, our waitress is a really resentful looking middle aged asian women. No smile on her face at all the whole time. She didn't greet us at all. We got Mongolian stir fry. Each time she just placed our food on the table without any words, and didn't ask us how was the food or so. After my husband gave her back the check, she just took it away without even saying thank you, instead my husband said have a good night to her!! She totally ruined everyone's mood. I can't believe that my husband even tipped her 12%. I seriously would suggest $0 tip to this kind of waitress and worst service!! Second, their Mongolian stir fry's price is $17.99/person, and there is no senior discount. The options for stir fry are quite limited. Comparing to the other Chinese buffet, Charlie Chow's Dragon Grill is seriously the worst. King's buffet is the same price, it has senior discount, and it has way more food options there. I don't usually like to waste my time to write the bad review. But I think I have to this time. Never got this kind of bad dining service before. I DO NOT RECOMMEND people to dine there at all. It will only ruin your appetite! I wish I could give it zero star. This restaurant does not deserve...
