My two children and I made a shopping trip from Evanston to Salt Lake. We noticed the restaurant and decided to try it. They don’t have anywhere to set an infant and so I carried her in my arm on my hip. Then they had no where to set a plate like most buffets have a little ledge. She reached around and plopped her hand in the hot food. I let my 2 year old eat on that food while I tried to calm her. After helping her calm down, I went out to the car to get her car seat. I didnt want to do that again. So the waitress brought a high chair, and turned it upside down and she set the car seat on that. I assumed they had done it before. She said to be careful because it rocks and isn’t the most steady. I went to get me some food. And as I started I heard a scream again. I turned around to see my baby under the car seat and the highchair on top of her. She was under the table, and her head lying on the table legs. It room longer to calm her. I could tell she was in some pain. I thought she was ok until I got home. She had bruised legs and one of her ears had dried blood. I’m writing this to just inform the restaurant and others to not do that! Keep the car seat on the ground. My heart hurts still seeing my 3 month old baby until that pile. :( I know the waitress didn’t do anything on purpose, everything was an accident. Just...

I was the only person in there during my visit yesterday...every time I needed water I had to talk across the restaurant to my server, I tried making a slurping noise with the straw to see if they would notice, however they were too busy socializing. I ordered the lamb samosas where the filling had been dried out. My order of garlic naan had old garlic on only the top piece of bread the rest were just plain. The paneer in my saag had gone bad it was not fresh and it tasted at the beginning stages of mold, no fresh dairy flavor at all. I also ordered the lamb Shish Kabab that had a sour flavor to the meat had no sear from any direct heat and tasted microwaved. I’m addition I ordered a banana milkshake which tasted like sour weak yogurt and little banana flavor. The Shake was thin and warm with a couple of ice chips on the top and had no cardamom flavor as written on the menu. I had to ask for it and they took the shake to the back and added cardamom to my existing drink where I drank chunks of the cardamom pods in the weak warm milkshake. The rice was good and the vegetables on the sizzling platter the kabob came on were unseasoned and...

I am BEYOND FURIOUS this was my first time buying food from here I saw they specialize in vegan food i know they have non vegan meals as well so I was worried but decided to give it a try. I went inside and asked for popular vegan dishes the lady recommended me a dish and then asked if I wanted chicken or lamb I told her are they vegan meats like plant based and she said yes and I told her I’ll try the vegan chicken and then she asked me if I wanted dairy I told her no dairy please and she said it was made with coconut milk I said that’s fine I got home starving and ate the dumplings and my plate the dumplings were good they had something inside idk anymore if it was meat or plant based but then I went to eat my plate and thought how good it was but I started noticing how spot on the meat was I’ve been vegan for 2 years so I really couldn’t tell but I started inspecting the “chicken” and I’m 99.999% sure it’s real meat I was beyond disgusted and threw up never again will I come here very misleading or uneducated staff I will be...

I took my friend here for dinner and he likes Indian and I like Nepalese. We ordered Samoa’s and I found them surprisingly good, not overly fried and good seasoned filling. I ordered the goat stew which came nice and hot. The goat was cooked to perfection just enough to be soft and chewy and the stew was flavorful but not over powering which is one of the reasons I don’t normally like Indian. He ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and was happy with the flavor as well as. His chicken was slightly over cooked but he didn’t mind. The staff was masked and came by on occasion to check on us but not overly attentive so we could actually spend time together. Even the manager came by and checked on us. I loved that they actually were practicing safe social distancing w/ tables! (Earlier that week two evenings prior at another restaurant we were literally surrounded by full tables.) I would come back to this restaurant which is surprising to my friend because I normally don’t like Indian food and he often craves it. Authentic Indian and Nepalese.

Great dinner at Kathmandu! There was excellent service, including checking on us repeatedly throughout out time there. The food tasted great. I had the Khasi Curry, my wife had Chicken Jalfrezi. While I loved the Khasi flavor, I found the bones in the goat meet distracting. The server told me in advance that there were bones, so I'm glad for the warning. In hindsight, I'd probably order a different goat dish. But that definitely wasn't the fault of the restaurant or about quality. That's just a personal preference. The Naan and Garlic Naan were also great. Definitely worth the visit.

Butter chicken was really delicious. Vegetable coconut korma was tasty as well. It’s not as busy as the other Indian restaurants around town and it’s one of the best ones. Be ye warned: Level 1 spice level tasted more like a 7/10. It was quite spicy but some in our party loved it. Mango Lassi is excellent and you get a good sized portion. The apps are better than I expected. Great for take-out and the leftovers here are always some of my favorite.
