I debated whether to leave a bad review but I'm still upset from the experience I had. I don't get pedicures regularly but had a long week and wanted to treat myself so I made an appointment. The massage and scrub was done by an older man and it was ok. A different person came over to paint my toenails and did an extremely rushed job though it looked alright from a distance without my glasses on. After some drying time passed the first employee returned to put on my slideds, he did so carefully but when cleaning up some nail polish on the surrounding skin he grabbed my entire big toe nail and the polish was ruined. When I pointed it out, the woman who painted them returned and even more quickly fixed it. 10 or so minutes after that I stood up to pay just planning on walking out carefully and they told me no no no, don't leave because it's not dry. So I sat back down to continue waiting, the woman returned to working on other customers and the man sat on his phone. I waited 35+ more minutes for someone to say something or walk me up to pay but they seemed to forget about me completely. Becoming impatient but not wanting to interrupt people working on other clients, I began looking around making eye contact with everyone working there trying to get someone's attention. Eventually someone totally different finally came over asking if I was ready. When I got home and was able to look at the toenails closely, the polish is applied really sloppily and not enough coats for the color to be opaque. Some areas of the nails are coated more than others and the color and top coat are totally uneven with a bumpy appearance. My evening was ruined because I just wanted to have a nice experience and instead I felt like an afterthought and paid/tipped for very poor and rushed polish application. I could have done a better job...
Read moreI’ve been going to this salon for over a year but will never return after my experience today. My mani/pedi was scheduled for 1:30 pm and I did not leave the salon until 4:45 pm (I understand occasional scheduling issues, but this happens every time). I sat in a chair for about 45 minutes waiting for their basic pedicure to begin. I left the pedicure with cuts on my feet and clumpy gel polish. I then sat down at a different station to have acrylics done, and the nail tech asked me what amount I “could spend” and started totaling the cost of the pedicure services I already received. I thought this was very bizarre considering I’m a repeat customer and receive the same services each time. Also, I’ve never been asked this at any salon?! It was completely unprompted and felt very unprofessional. She then proceeded to tell me my nails were extremely damaged (which is odd because I’ve only been to this salon in the past year so any damage would have been caused by their services) and was rude to mention the nonexistent “dirt” under my nails and “yellow stains” from my spray tan... like, ok? I thought you were a professional? lol. After showing her the exact photo of what I wanted several times, she shaped my nails incorrectly and botched the simple French tip design. They look nothing like the photo I showed her and none of the tips are even. She also made my cuticles bleed and I received no hand massage or usual treatments even after she emphasized the services and cost. Throughout the entire service, she got up to answer the phone at least 5 times. After all was said and done, my services totaled $98 and $118 with tip. It was not worth the time or money wasted. I can’t wait to have my nails redone...
Read moreFirst off, I want to clarify that I think the lady did a fine job on my nails, gel manicure and pedicures. However, I walked away feeling generally uncomfortable rather than happy because I felt like my nail tech kept trying to add on more services at every turn even though I was clear about what I wanted from the start. I wanted the basic pedicure package because I don’t like a lot of scrubbing and I didn’t need all of the extra masks etc on my feet. She asked me about 4 times if I wanted to upgrade to deluxe and even felt the bottom of my feet saying something along the lines of “it’s only $10 more and you really need it.” After the 4th time I was fed up and just gave in. I really feel like if you say you don’t want something, the business should listen to you and do what you want rather than constantly trying to persuade you that your choice is wrong. Besides that, I was asked several times about if I wanted nail extensions and I had to say at least 3 times I wanted it done on my natural nail, with no extensions. Then asked she asked about chrome nail polish add ons and flower designs and I said no to these but what really pissed me off was asking me if I wanted an eyebrow wax. I feel like this eyebrow wax comment was crossing the line and she wanted to insult me at that point. In general, I think it was just a personality mismatch, the lady who did my husband’s pedicure was very sweet and never did any of that upselling/constant persuading to add...
