Made a pick up order for our first time stopping in. We had my friends kiddo at home so we couldn't dine in, but the menu looked too delicious to pass up. It definitely met all or expectations. I ordered the Gyudon Beef Bowl and the Croquettes. Both were phenomenal. The Croquettes were particularly my favorite. Cooked absolutely perfect and the flavor was fantastic. It comes with a wasabi creme fresh and an apricot jam and holy hell that just enhanced the experience. My girlfriend got the chicken karaage bowl and immediately upon opening it commented on how great it looked and smelled. Our friend got ribeye pho bowl and went completely quiet while engrossed in eating and could only mention how good it was between bites.
Even though we only popped in to grab our food quickly, I can tell there is a great staff at the location. Obviously the quality of food is a testament to the back of house, but the front of house was bright and engaging upon our arrival. They made an effort to invite us back to dine in when we could and we walked out immediately discussing howuch we'd love to when we could make it work.
The restaurant itself has an inviting atmosphere and looks appropriately decorated to fit the delicious vibes. I'll update this again if we go in and that changes, but I can't imagine it will.
Do yourself a favor and go check this place out. I know the construction in the area can be a headache, but it would be a disservice to yourself to not take the journey to try this spot. You'll fall in love immediately...
Read moreThe place when you walk in is extremely clean. Very nice atmosphere. Everything's well put together. It greets you pretty much instantly. The service is excellent. The lady that we had she was wonderful waitress. As for the food though, I think the the rice bowl was pretty good. But for the the broth we had was miso. But if I compare it to other shabu restaurants or Hot pot restaurants, I have to say that the ingredients are limited. Kind of stinks that it's just a small bowl of sides for the price. I feel like they could give you more. As for the quality of food it's just ok. For what you pay, it's not worth the food that you're getting. Straight up overpriced It's just not enough. I don't think it's worth going here. To be honest with you, there's so many more places a different shabu restaurant downtown or you have a lot of hot pots nearby that offer quality foods. The wagu beef not that good compared to Japan and eating at a restaurant in Japan. They say it's imported with nothing but the finest. But it's just not good. Don't be fooled. I just Don't think it's worth going here for the money. It's an American owner white dude. It's his twist on hotpot and Japanese food. I won't be coming back. I wouldn't recommend it either. But it's good to try a new restaurant. But that's about it. They have one in Park City. They do well but they don't have anything up there. If they had similar restaurants nearby this place wouldn't do well. It's not going to...
Read moreI had brunch here last week and loved it so much I had to come back in to try dinner this week. Everything’s been fantastic! Their take on eggs benedict is delicious, probably the best hollandaise I’ve ever tasted on top of thick, juicy cuts of ham. Getting a Scotch Egg with your brunch is also highly recommended.
As for dinner, another wonderful meal with the added interactive fun of shabu style eating. We started with the gyoza and yellowfin tuna appetizers. The gyoza had a thick, homemade dumpling wrap around a juicy and well seasoned filling, and the tuna was fresh and tender with the most incredible tangy umami sauce, a must have! For my main, I got the wagyu shabu. The meat was of the best quality, tender and well marbled, paired with great accoutrements to concoct your shabu meal to your liking. But if you prefer to have your meal fully kitchen prepared they have great ramen and rice bowls as well.
Give this place a try, your taste buds and stomach will be...
