Silverside Deli — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I was really hopeful for this restaurant. The chopped cheese being on the menu was incredibly intriguing. I went this afternoon and ordered a spicy chopped cheese and a side of fries with the house sauce.

I’ll start with the good, and the entire reason this is getting 3 stars. The fries were some of the most delicious fries I’ve had in the 2.5 years I’ve lived in SLC. Not to mention the House Sauce which had a familiar fry sauce style base but with some additional layers of flavor. These together get 5stars in my book.

Now comes the bad… and it’s bad…

I was incredibly disappointed by the sandwich. The ground beef was completely unseasoned and the texture was almost like they steamed the meat as opposed to searing it. If they had just gotten even a LITTLE bit of color on the beef it would’ve been significantly more enjoyable. Not to mention it was barely noticeable that there was any cheese on the sandwich. Lastly, the bread was way too soft and fluffy for something with this much juice. It almost instantly turned into a soggy wet mess that was completely unappetizing.

Given how good the fries and sauce were and the hype I’ve heard about this place I’ll definitely be giving them another shot. I just hope they see this and...

Silverside Deli in Sugarhouse has been one of my favorite sandwich stops in SLC so far! I dropped by recently to try their August special Italian Cold Cut sandwich, and it was a flavor explosion. The meats were perfectly seasoned, and the fresh, crispy veggies added a perfect crunch. I typically steer away from ordering cold sandwiches, but I am glad I did this time! Not to forget, the size was HUGE, leaving me leftovers for lunch the next day.

My partner couldn’t resist their spicy chicken sandwich, which had just the right kick and was incredibly juicy. We paired our meal with their hand-cut Cajun fries, which were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of spice. If you like 5 guys fries, this place has beat the taste and quality.

The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Although you order with a cashier, staff will bring the food to you and collect your dirty dishes. The attentiveness was a huge plus. Definitely...

Absolutely incredible breakfast sandwich! Sausage egg and cheese with hash browns and the softest bread! The drip coffee was very hot (as it should be) and strong.

The staff was very polite and patient with my early morning indecisiveness. The young lady at the register was helpful with suggestions too. After bringing my sandwich the server came back to make sure everything was good, and to see if I needed anything else (which was great because I had changed my mind again and wanted creamer for my coffee), she was very polite and helpful.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and found it easy to relax, soft lighting and comfortable chairs with a variety of table sizes help. Seating is also elevated from the street so it is a nice place to sit and look out the window.

The music selection was appropriate, although acoustic guitar covers or something instrumental would do well to make this the best little sandwich shop ive...
