I love Wendy's, definitely one of my favorite fast food chains. I don't really have any complaints about their food at this Franchise. However, this Franchise doesn't have the best service, especially when it comes to technology.
I ordered through drive thru recently and there were so many things wrong. One: They didn't give me the drink that I ordered so I ended up paying for something that I didn't even get. Two: I don't think they really understand how the Wendy's App works, at least at this franchise. Three: I didn't get a receipt so I couldn't verify everything in my order .
On the Wendy's app, you can get points from your orders whenever you scan a QR code before paying. You can also add deals and rewards to your 'card' which is also added when you scan the QR code. I've always done this at other franchises with no problems, however there is always a problem when I use the app at this location.
I order my food as normal at the drive thru, no problems there. Before I pay for my food, I tell the drive thru worker to scan my QR code on the App because I have a deal for a 'Free Drink w/ a Purchase', they misheard it as a free sandwich so they are looking up the deals on their machine and surprise surprise they don't see a deal for a free sandwich, because there wasn't one. I'm like okay, I understand maybe they didn't hear me the first time so I try to correct them, multiple times even, yet they continued to ignore me as they try to call over who I'm guessing was their manager to assist me.
I had to explain to the manager that there is a deal on the app for a free drink. It's as if they have no idea about the app at all or its deals. The manager is confused and says that the deal is not showing up on their machine, so I show them the deal on the app. The manager was understanding and ended up giving me the free drink, so that was nice of them.
I don't expect workers to be perfect, I get that working fast food can be challenging. But please, give your workers better training especially with technology and the app. Do a better job with keeping up to date with deals. Please for the love of God, teach the workers to verify everything in the order before handing them to the customer or at least ask the customer to check if there is anything missing so they can acknowledge it and fix the issue.
Rant over, If you order inside, you shouldn't have too many problems. Food still tastes good. However, if you try to use the app, especially through the drive thru, expect a couple, maybe a handful of problems. Customer service can and should be...
Read moreI placed an order online and and it said it would be ready in 5 mins, pulling up to one of the pick up spots it was very quiet, no drive through traffic and no one in the restaurant. I sat for a while after using the email link to alert the store I had arrived, but finally got out of my car and decided to go in and pick it up. Unfortunately this wasn't an option either, the doors to the lobby were closed and no one was around. I stood there for a while and waited till I finally got someone's attention and I told them I had an order for pickup. They told me to go and stand at the drive through window and someone would help me. I did as I was told and was greeted with a weird look up and down by a middle aged lady who did not look like she was happy to be there. She came over opened the window with a mild scowl of disapproval and general disregard for me and her position. I told her politely that I had an online order and she walked of without saying anything. Eventually a young man who was quite helpful looked up my order and realized it had not been made, he started yelling out " I need a double" and running around. Keep in mind I had been there now for at least 15 minutes, 5 of which I had been standing at the drive through window in the rain. They completed my order in around 3 mins and handed me the food, I thanked the young man, who was polite and seemed suited to Hospitality, unlike the lady beforehand who was still looking at her phone. When I got home, I found they had not put lettuce on my burger, or any of the sauces that I had asked for. I have to say, the primary reason for going there was nostalgia, I had a lot of fun times as a kid going to Wendy's I loved their Frosty's the Salad bar the baked potatoes and the fresh burgers. I can only say that everything about this location is below mediocre, food 2/5 service 1/5. I feel sorry for the owner and I will not be going back. I would not recommend this...
Read moreI’ve had some trouble with this location in comparison to other Wendy’s at which I have a good history. For one I have regularly had mistakes with my orders, either by being given the wrong order or by arriving home and finding items missing. I don’t mean something along the lines of “Oops they forgot my cookie.” No I mean I get home and find my salad without any meat or other toppings, no dressing or toppings in the bag and not even a fork. I mean I get home and all I have in my bag is a container of lettuce and nothing else. This is not an isolated incident either. I’ve gone on to have several less than stellar sandwiches where the meat is cold and dry, or the amount of vegetables is disappointing. Aside from drive through mishaps I’ve also noticed a strong vagrant presence in and around the restaurant. From the regular panhandlers standing in the drive through, to occasionally being asked to buy someone a lunch while in the restaurant. Not only stopping there but also noticing scruffy patrons who are sleeping in the booths with zero resistance from staff. All that being said I tend to enjoy Wendy’s restaurants and their fresh food as a safe bet when on the go, I’m sad to say that this particular location is somewhat of a let down from what I’m used to. I would say that staff were overall fairly accommodating and nice, making small talk and often encouraging customers to buy more items, but everything else about the restaurant could use some work. I will continue eating at Wendy’s, just not...
