Salt has been family to me, since the first time I walked through the door. That was three-and-a-half years ago. During that time, there have been a few times where I thought there was no possible way they could ever get any better. Obviously, I was wrong each time I thought that. They ALWAYS find a way to get better! And that starts with Monique — the owner, rock star, queen, and genuinely the most remarkable woman you will ever meet (if you’re lucky enough to meet her, of course… she’s a business owner, entrepreneur, mother, wife, and so much more!) Monique finds the most exceptional human beings on earth, helps them master what she calls “the salt way” (which is next level, uses a combination of soft and hard wax, and gets EVERY single hair in the most painless and quick fashion imaginable), and then has them run the show. I have no idea how the most extraordinary people alive are found in the Salt Lake Valley (sometimes by way of Vegas — I’m looking at you, Kristen and Bianca), but it’s not hyperbole to say that! They are all brilliant and magnificent in their own unique way! My most recent visits have been with Kristen, and getting to know her has made me wonder if she’s actually real! There’s no good way to describe or explain that! You’ll have to meet her, and see for yourself! Everything she does is flawless! And I’m pretty sure she is also a PHD Clinical Psychologist, moonlighting as an esthetician! Her brain might be more incredible than her physical tools or esthetics skills! LONG REVIEW - WORTH IT IF YOU ARE A HAIRY LADY LIKE MYSELF Okay so some background: I never do reviews unless it's really good or really bad. I started getting lots of facial and body hair at a young age (10 years old) and with PCOS the facial hair is COARSE.

Ok so I was searching for a better waxing place after paying an absurd amount at LunchBox that ended up tearing my facial skin and causing major break outs. I found this place and just booked for underarms because I was scared to go to another waxer for my face after the experience I had at the other company. Kendall is AMAZING! She is thorough and makes sure to get every hair. I absolutely love going to her. This weekend I have a big trip and I have had no time to wax my face myself like usual. I went to book Kendall, but she's currently not able to get scheduled so I called in and was booked with Ali. I hadn't ever had her so I was nervous, not only because I don't want my face messed up, but also because getting my face waxed is so embarrassing. I've had facial hair forever, but as a woman I hate having facial hair. It is not cute peach fuss, it's like a beard and I absolutely hate. it. Anyway, I had Ali do my facial waxing and underarm waxing today and in my 10+ years of waxing my face I have never had such an AMAZING experience! She was so thorough, kind, and a fun chat! It was the most painless experience as well. I am not sure if Salt Wax Society uses different products than other waxing facilities, or if it was just Ali's soft touch, but it did not hurt as much as usual. After 12+ years as a client with this company, I was forced out by the owner bcus she didn't like how I worded my questions and thoughts. I was pretty taken back that after so many years of loyalty, she could care less for my business. Oh well. Im glad she did, she pushed me into finding a better company. ♡

First off, it took you guys a month to contact me after a very specific moment. You've never had problems with me or how else would I have been there for 12 years? Monique was the original owner and then sold her company and then came back. I love how you can play like you've been this responsible owner. Ive seen staff come in and out for years. No one stays here, and they all complain about you .

I was absolutely not rude to your staff. I was partly upset bcus the extra $10, was on top of a tip for your staff that you wanted to take away from them. I had a membership for $39 that I got a decade+ ago and got grandfathered in. Mrs.Monique is mad bcus I dont grow the same after 10 years, I started getting my underarms, lip at my own loss just to use my credits. One day I got charged $10 extra for doing my arms. The explanation ( it's ten more dollars than your membership) but I pay for a $60 Brazilian membership, so am I not the only one losing in this? I never said anything bad about the staff.
