I have to say that after a poor experience we had at a Wendy's in the small quaint town of Pendleton, Oregon I was delightfully surprised at the quality and service at this particular establishment. I'm the touring manager for a pretty important band, and although I have contracts and obligations that keep me from naming this band, and although the opinions I express aren't always the same as the band's I can confidently say that everyone on the team was extremely underwhelmed with the food we received while on the road. So much so that the band themselves refused to choose to eat at any Wendy's on future tours. I am happy to announce that after today this is no longer the case! This Wendy's really shows it's devotion to the brand and every employee here is a team player. The chicken, which was the Achilles heal of Pendleton, was delicious in SLC and really brought me back to the 90s golden age of fast food when I used to run a tight crew of restaurant chains I had invested in. I think about that crew often and wonder where they all are now, but if they were still in the food industry they would be proud to work at such an establishment. Thank you Wendy's and God...
Read moreI registered a google+ so that I could write this review, which is how much this Wendy's food bothers me. I love Wendy's, I've been going to Wendy's at least once a month for upwards of five years. I find that they have excellent value meals, and their sea salt fries are amazing.
That said; this particular location has managed to disgust me. It is clean, and I found the staff very friendly but their food is atrocious. I have been here four times, and each time was worse than the last. This last time the tomatoes were rotten, the buns rock-hard, and the fries gritty. Everything tasted like I'd left it out for a few days and then microwaved it.
Don't let this review turn you off Wendy's in general; the one on 4th south has ALWAYS given me very good, fresh food. I usually enjoyed the food from the one on 2100 sout, but STAY AWAY from this one.
Edit: with some fairness, I didn't find them stingy with drinks. In fact the drink was the only think I finished after I got home and tried the food. This Wendy's lets you refill your own drink if you...
Read more1 Star â Inexcusable Way to Run a Business I rarely leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be known. I pulled into this Wendyâs drive-through at 10:50 PMâwell within their posted hours, which clearly state theyâre open until 2:00 AM. Instead of being served, I was met with a completely blocked drive-through, where they had intentionally parked a car sideways across the lane to prevent anyone from coming through.
There were no signs posted, no explanation, no courtesy lights, nothing. Just an obvious attempt to avoid serving customers while still technically appearing âopen.â I even waited for a few minutes thinking maybe it was temporaryânope. Nobody came out, nobody said a word. Just a blatant refusal of service and a total lack of professionalism.
If youâre going to close early, update your hours. If your staff doesnât want to work late, hire better management. But donât expect paying customers to waste their time driving across town just to be blocked off by a car like itâs some kind of prank. Thatâs not just bad...
