Had bad experience with the server. I bought a group on online for $16, which I could use if I bought $30 with of food. So me and my friends did. I told the waitress to put the food that they order on my tab so I can use the Groupon code.
An hour and a half and multiple beers later I come to realize that my friends have paid their tabs and that they were charged for their food. My friends were really eager to leave. The waitress told me that I can't use the promo code because I don't have $30 worth of food on my tab.
She said the only way I could use it if she redid everybody's checks and put their food on my tab. By the time she was telling me that, some of my friends were already gone. So I had to pay full price plus the groupon that I bought. Moral of the story is attention to detail.
But the environment is great in this place. The server was very nice to us. She just didn't pay attention. The atmosphere is great, food is not bad and the drinks are at a reasonable price. Only because of my experience I'm giving this...
Read moreI went to The Penny Tap House (Friday, 09/10/2021) because of their post (see comments). I asked Chelsea, "Does this apply now?" (Meaning time of day, 1:30). She answered rudely, "Well, isn't today Friday?!" Then, didn't know if it did or did not. She asked Brittney, who answered, "It should be all day." Turns out, it's only from 3:00-8:00 because my friend's water-downed drink rang-up full-price. I didn't order because Chelsea put me in a temporarily bad mood. I took my business where I know there's great service and drinks! TPTH responded to my review and totally missed the point and blamed me, the customer. Chelsea maintained her sarcasm by "loving" my response. None of this surprised me considering their overall poor attitude towards customers (others left without ordering) and lack of knowledge regarding their own posts/services.
Shout-out to 'The Grill' where happy hour starts at 3:00 every day and their food, drinks, and service has been consistently awesome...
Read moreFor my first experience I was highly dissatisfied. I went with a friend of mine on a Saturday night. Before I arrived, she ordered some wings. However after a 40min wait, the wings had not been brought to the table. So my friend decided to ask about them. Apparently, Brittany had no memory of taking her order. (Mind you the place was not packed at all). Thankfully, my friend held onto her receipt. After showing Brittany, she went to the kitchen and returned stating that the kitchen crew “just gave up on making orders”. My friend seemed to be understanding but was slightly irritated that the order would now be “no more than 15 minutes.” About an hour later, she received her wings, which were reimbursed to her completely, but late.
