1Watson — Restaurant in San Antonio

I made a reservation over the phone for my bday party . The place is beautiful! So Chic and elegant! I have to mention that Claudia our server was not the best, not once she went to offer water, same with drinks, we had to chase her to get another round of drinks. Around 8:30pm Im greeting my last couple of friends arriving and Claudia comes to me and tells me I have to hurry up and order, because the reservation is only for 2 hours , I explained to her I was not aware of the 2 hour time for the reservation, she said "yeah! Its in the website " with her bad attitude, I told her I made the reservation over the phone, Claudia says, "let me see if I can get you more time". I ask everyone to place their orders, one of my friends has not looked at the menu, so we asked Claudia to come back . 30 min later food arrives, but my friends food didn't, we waited another 20 min and nothing, we asked Claudia for my friends food and she says "she didn't order anything ", my friend says "I did", why would you argue with the customer?! I wished she would've just said "I'm sorry, what can I bring you?". Night keeps going, when one of my friends says "Oh no! The server just passed gas next to me, then everyone around the table starts saying "oh wow stinks!, I asked what happened and they said Claudia stands next to my friend (first one complaining) then started walking around the table! (Like spreading out the smell). 30 minutes later, my friend says "again?! What is wrong with this woman?!" I asked what happened, and she says "she did it again!!" At this point I am getting really upset, how Can our server be doing that? We were eating the cake, some of my friends couldn't eat it anymore. Well , if you think that was the last time she did it, no, she did it a 3rd time! She passed gas next to our table 3 times, pretty disgusting, disrespectful and unacceptable. The terrible service keeps going, no water, no drinks . It's around 11:30 and I am trying to get her attention to get our checks, she sees me twice, and ignored me completely, finally shows up with our tickets but these were the final tickets, she didn't bring the itemized ticket , we couldn't see what she was charging us for, I thought that was sketchy, so again I try to get her attention, and took forever for her to come back, so I tell her that she needs to bring the itemized checks, not happy with my request, she leaves and comes back later and give us the checks. Of course the gratuity was included, but at 22%. I was surprised and I was not happy with everything she did, so I decided to cancel that 22% and tip her less, According to her bad service. All my friends are complaining about the gratuity due to her bad attitude, bad service and her passing gas. So I decide to call a manager, I asked another server if I can speak to a manager and he was very kind and called the manager. Valery comes and introduces herself, very nice and attentive. I explained EVERYTHING, from the bad attitude, to the bad service, to passing gas and the high gratuity. She is very upset about everything Claudia did, and apologizes for Claudia's behavior, she said this was the last opportunity they were giving to Claudia because they have received complaints from her in the past. She keeps apologizing and offers to remove the gratuity, comes to the table , apologizes to everyone and offers us a round of drinks, Valery was really trying her best to make up for everything Claudia did wrong. We accepted the round of drinks and appreciated her gesture. Then Michelle, the other manager comes and apologized for everything we were put through with Claudia, she was very nice and attentive too. Both managers handled the situation very well, professionally, attentively and did everything they could to make our experience better. Ok let me talk about the food, food was ok, I really liked the street corn, I also ordered pork belly chalupas, they were ok. The charcuterie board was good....

On September 14, I visited this place along with my wife for brunch. After 40 min of having ordered, our food hadn’t been brought to us so we had to ask another waiter for our food. It seemed like the food had been ready for a while, just that our waiter never brought it to us. After receiving our food, we asked for tabasco sauce and ketchup to 3 different servers (they all told us they would, but never did). After my wife stood up and talked to another server, they brought us tabasco, but not the ketchup. We had to ask once again for the ketchup until they finally brought it. After we were done eating, a waiter brought us a flask with water and ice that was left from an outside table party of like 10 people. The flask had been seating there outside in the terrace and since that other table did not used it, they decided to recycle it and give it to us (Disgusting). We decided to leave so we asked our waiter for a box to go and the check, to which they never brought. We had to ask once again another waiter for a box and the check. They only brought the check but not the box to go. We waited there for someone to pickup my card and pay but no one did. I had to stand up and go to the bar to get charged, pay for my meal and ask the lady one more time for a box to go. They brought us the box, my card and check for me to sign. I spoke with my wife and we both decided to not leave a tip due to lack of attention and the laziness from more than 3 employees. The service was awful and the over all experience was disappointing. So I proceeded to scratch off the tip amount and sign the check for the total of our meal only. A couple of days later, I get an update on the charge and it turns out they had added themselves a 20%charge tip for the total amount. I called them and explained everything. I gave them all my information and they told me they would get back to me in a couple of days. 10 days later they hadn’t gotten back to me so I called them back. I spoke with Jessica Rodriguez on the phone and she told me they would look into it again and get back to me. About 30 min later I get a call back from her and the restaurant just to tell me that there is nothing they can do because they have a receipt with that tip amount and my signature on it. I told them that I had not allowed that amount and that it was fraud on their end. They told me that they could only forward me a copy of the receipt to my email and that they couldn’t do anything else about the situation. About 5 min later I received their email with a picture of the receipt, and as it turns out, they had forged my signature and added themselves a 20% tip on a different receipt. Since the restaurant did not offer a resolution, I am still waiting for a resolution from my card. This place aside front the view, has nothing else to offer, awful service, no integrity from their employees, and no resolution from their management. Stay away from this place and avoid...

Made a reservation for my wife and I well in advance, asked for some request to be made and that was not met so idk why it was asked if it is not going to be done. Also the waitress we had was nice when she actually came around , was mostly never to be found. Out reservation was at 7:45 , she came by our table real close to 8:00 to just say she will be right with us and didn’t even take our drinks? She came back again around 8:15 , we asked about the menu no menus were ever brought and the website was not working or loading , we explained it she didn’t seem to care. She took out drinks as we explained it was our 1st time there , she then proceeded to take our drinks and didn’t even wait to ask or explain the menu. She left didn’t see her again till almost 8:45 with our drinks and to take out order. It was nearing 10:00 pm when we finally got our VDay dinner which was $85 a person not including drinks which was another $35. Trying not to spoil the night i had planned out for my wife on Valentines day and knowing every other place was going to be swamped i allowed the night but then our food came with raw filet minot that was still bleeding when i told her medium for her and well done for myself. The food was cold because im sure the waitress was doing what ever else she was doing and i was disgusted. We looked for someone else to alert manager since our waitress was nowhere to be seen and she replaced our food but we were then told it was going to take another 30-40 minutes we ended changing our coarse meal only to have it brought again cold and our appetite has already left the building so basically we paid $85 per person only to take it to go and give it to someone asking for food outside. No discount for the major inconvenience was given or an apology from “our waitress “ she came later explaining she was told about it but that was it. It was an awful night but luckily they had an amazing scene of downtown but i would not recommend food here it is basically good for drinks at a bar with a scenery!!! Idk about the other food but definitely not worth it! Even the desert was dry and had hard pieces , the chocolate inside wasn’t even melted and someone guy brought that out because i am assuming our waitress was no where to be found oh and the ice cream was completely melted?? The manager knows we were disappointed just by our faces and i wAs even more upset because i had planned this for her to be anything but that for VDay!!!
