BEWARE OF THE SERVICE YOURE GETTING WHEN YOU COME HERE. i saw the negative reviews at this store before coming here. not a single positive review in sight, but i chose to ignore them because i said to myself âhow bad can an ice cream shop really be itâs not like you can mess up the ice cream?â but oh it was bad.. đ¤Śââď¸
worst customer service iâve ever experienced and they are extremely rude and short with customers an hour before closing. the ice cream doesnât match with the labels they have at the end of the day, nothing works, and theyâre okay selling you very stale waffle cones (without warning or telling you that theyâre stale) and getting upset, shrugging at you, and blatantly talking back at you stating that thereâs nothing that they can do.
The male employee with the glasses & long hair wearing a BEANIE to work (which like, why?) was so rude and unprofessional and his attention span is almost nonexistent. i donât understand how you can be THAT bad at problem solving and talking to customers at just an ice cream shop. for one of the many things, when we were about to get our ice cream, we asked him if it can be on a waffle cone. he said sure, he gave us the ice cream in a cup, rang up our card with the charged cone, and started helping the next person while completely forgetting our waffle cone for 5 minutes while our ice cream is melting. it wasnât busy or anything, it was just us and 1 other person. we were clearly standing there still and he just chose to ignore that we were still there needing him to finish helping us until we said something. again, the cone was stale and inedible when we tried to take a bite and tear from it, so i came back in to ask for a refund for just the cone and told him the issue, and his response was âwhat can you expectâ because we caught them 20 entire minutes before closing, therefore their terrible service and food quality to their customers is justified. it is not any of our problems that you donât want to work, and itâs 20-30 minutes before closing, not 5 minutes lmao. coming earlier wouldnât matter anyways because theyâre always already trying to close an entire hour before per the other reviews.
i know very well what itâs like to be a service worker and treating customers and workers alike with dignity, but just because you mightâve had a long day or you donât want customers to come in at all well before closing doesnât make it okay to take your frustration out on customers. So disgusting. Just change the store hours if you donât want to stay open. i truly believe they make it harder for themselves by having such a negative attitude towards literally just working until the time theyâre supposed to đ at the end of the day, you are getting paid on the clock to work and we are still paying you for your service. Close earlier if you donât want to serve customers anymore for the day and if youâll do it with a terrible attitude, but good luck keeping this store from shutting down, it already has such an embarrassing reputation.
Customers, just go to the Baskin Robinâs by the HEB plus on 281. This place...
Read moreThis location is definitely lacking in terms of excellent customer service and sadly even 1 star is too many. In May we found small black hairs in the frosting of our sons birthday cake. After 10 minutes of back and forth on the phone with a worker (because the manager couldnât be bothered to talk) to see if the cake could be remade in time for the party, we were falsely promised 4 free ice cream cones on our next visit and told they would be âin the book.â In July (two months later) we made our way to the store where we explained the situation to the shift supervisor on duty- ready to utilize what was promised to make amends for a cake that we couldnât serve just two months prior. The âshiftâ (as he called himself) begrudgingly threw a customer complaint book on the counter, and said âItâs been too long, your complaint probably isnât even in here anymore. Iâd have to call the manager.â (The complaint book was easily 3 inches tall with complaint papers. If my previous complaint wasnât in there, Iâm curious how many complaints they receive.) After much insistance, he then walked away to use his cell phone and contact the manager. A few minutes passed, a few other orders were taken and he finally approached us to inform us that while the manager DID in fact remember us, âhe had already made it right with a discount.â A discount? Wow! That would have been stellar, but unfortunately it wasnât accurate. We then asked for the phone number to the corporate franchise office (which didnât seem to bother the manager, and according to him âweâre an independent franchise and we can do what we want. I donât have the number.â) we left empty handed. A formal complaint was made with the franchise regarding this incident, and we were informed we would receive a phone call within 48 business hours. Nada. Nothing. While I have nostalgic memories of Baskin Robbins from childhood, this location has ruined those for my own children. As a small business owner myself, I believe customer service is the at forefront of any great business- franchise or not. Do yourself, and clearly this location a favor and go...
Read moreI usually don't like to give 1 star reviews, but this place deserves it. I walked in and walked right up to the ice cream counter. There were 2 girls standing right there and neither one of them addressed for the first TWO MINUTES. Then, they argued over who was going to help me. So the girl walks over and just stares at me and doesn'tsay anything, so I tell her I'd like a single scoop of ice cream. The girl is struggling to scoop the ice cream. I'm like okay no big deal, but then she gives me like a half of a scoop. It was seriously like 3 bites of ice cream. So she says she'll check me out over on the Dunkin Donuts side and I mention that the scoop is tiny and looks even smaller than the kid's scoop. Nothing, she just ignores me. She then charges me $3.24 for like 3 bites of ice cream. To make matters worse, she no lie took like 2 minutes to give me my change back from a $10 bill. She stood there (refusing to make eye contact) and started opening a roll of dimes and kept dropping them over and over. She hands me my change and I'm already irritated. I look down and she has shorted me money. I tell her and she just plays it off and apologizes and gives me my money. Maybe they were just having a bad day, but I'm not going back there. Terrible...
