The restaurant is quaint. You order at the counter and then find a table. We ordered the chilaquiles, chicken panini, tiramisu latte, and the Espressino con Panna and a muffin. I had wanted to eat there because I read that the chilaquiles got soggy quickly but my husband ended up ordering our food to go. We found some chairs with a coffee table so we relaxed there while waiting on our food.
We did end up eating the chilaquiles there out of the to go container. I forgot to take a photo. They did get soggy very quickly but were still good. The verdes sauce was pretty sour though so we had to make sure it was mixed with some egg or something very salty with each bite to balance out the sourness. It came with a half bagel with cheese crust. Basically, they put the cheese on the bagel and then brown it on a griddle cheese side down. It was good but kinda a strange accompaniment to chilaquiles. My husband said the muffin was very sweet, but isn’t that expected? The tiramisu latte was good but also very very sweet. The espressino con panna was perfect and very good. One of my sons didn’t wake up in time to join us so he ate the panini at the hotel when we returned. He said it was good - nothing life changing but good. It came with chips. Overall, it was a nice experience but a...
Read moreI usually don’t leave bad reviews but this place was a total zero all around.
1.) the girl who first greeted us was so sweet. The rest of the staff is horrible from the frustration they have with how they have there food service pick up set up
2.) the set up is so overwhelming. People are provided with pagers to get up and get their food but there was so much confusion. I was sitting and trying to converse when while there was a swarm of people next to me trying to get their food and staff being visibly frustrated with them as well to figure out who has what.
3.) quality of the coffee was okay, you’re better off at Starbucks especially for the price I paid $10 for a latte. Food was so horrible we had the French toast and it was so soft and soggy from the not fresh berry mix and the bagel breakfast sandwich was so bad. Definitely nothing is freshly made there.
4.) when asked to get an update about food when I waited 30 minutes for food I was told in attitude. So expect to wait a while.
Advice, since this establishment ask’s for tip maybe actually serving people and having waitstaff to avoid the buildup of customers in the corner and y’all’s frustration. The table next to me was also not having a great experience as well. Please do better and figure...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is cute and well thought out. My wife had been asking to come here for breakfast.
First I’ll say, the coffees we had were phenomenal. If you are coming here for coffee, then I’d save you have a good to great time. I will be back for coffee, and that’s about it.
The food has great concept and thought to them, but they are poorly executed. I ordered the French toast, things of beauty, but, you are served two nearly three inch cuts of brioche. The problem? The batter or egg, whatever they use, does not penetrate to the center of the bread. So, you have a delicious crust and fluffy bread center. It does not make for a good experience, especially since each fork is full is massive. I was two bites in and had to just toss it. It could’ve been one of those slices cut into 3 and I would’ve paid the same price - the dish would’ve been amazing. I went to get a breakfast bagel… which you can go wrong right? Well, they sit in a case and are subsequently microwaved. The egg becomes chewy and the bagel becomes soggy. I’m for time savings, but not at this cost.
My wife had the avocado toast. Again 2.5-3 inch slice of bread, thin layer of seasoned avocado spread. Perfectly cooked egg. She got...
