IĀ sent in my computer for repair because the hinge was exposed and the computer wouldnt close and was told that I would get a call back within 2 days for the diagnosis and was charged a diagnostic fee of $50. 4 days passed and I got no call back from Cellular Zone so I called back and was lied to and told that they did call back when nothing in our phone records indicates we were ever called. Then when we call back to the store we are told that they have to order a part that will take 5-7 business days to receive the part when we were initially told it would take about 4 days to get the computer fixed. So the store claims that we were called and a voicemail was left on the phone for us to call back even though the phone number they "called" has no voicemail. So we call the store asking about our computer and they said that they received the part and "unfortunately" the part was broken and we would have to wait 5-7 MORE business days. On 8/13 I come by the store to pick up my broken computer and get my refund when the "manager" tells me that the part was broken and they are reordering it. I told him to keep the part because I dont need it anymore I then asked for my computer and refund of the $50 fee that was promised back to us by said "manager". None of what the store has or had promised has been fulfilled. I now have a broken computer and have been denied a refund that was promised. The way he worded himself is very sly they said "that the $50 was part of the parts fee of $159 unless we choose to get the repair done somewhere else" (this was said in store face to face but was excluded in the phone conversation). So I asked the manager who I could speak to and he said he was the only one I could speak with so I asked him for the Owners contact information and none was provided. He said that he couldnt do that.
So I got the computer back closed and in a worse condition than I had taken it in, in the first place. Before I took it in the screen and the body of the computer lined up perfectly when I got it back today the bottom of the body was broken and the screen was in a closed position slightly slanted with metal sticking out of the corner.
So I want let any prospective customers to beware of the horrible experience we have had with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCellular Zone Sales & Repair-Do NOT recommend (17910 Bulverde Rd Suite 106). After years of owning a cell phone, I finally broke a screen. It happened to be the most expensive screen to replace. I took my phone to be repaired on 8/12/20. They replaced my screen for $319.99. I also asked them to apply a screen protector which cost $24.99. My total bill was $373.44.
The very next day, the screen protector bubbled up on one corner. It continued to bubble up all over. It was pretty much useless.
Needless to say, I had been extremely paranoid and careful with my phone after paying $375 to have it repaired. Flash forward to 14 days later. I noticed a hairline crack from the top of my screen all the way to the bottom.
I took my cell phone back. I was told that their 30 guarantee does not cover the screen cracking again, nor does the screen protector. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that "he is very busy" and could not talk to me. The employee kept trying to give me a business card. I told them I could wait and would appreciate it if he could call the manager on the phone so that I could speak with him. He refused.
I could kick myself for not going elsewhere to begin with, but wanted to help out a local business. I let the employee know that I would be sharing my experience with others and he said, "Ma'am, you are the one that broke your phone."
I am not sure what type of materials they use, but they are definitely not worth what they are charging. After a long phone call with the manager, was told it would cost about the same amount that I originally paid to replace the screen 14 days ago because their prices had gone up due to Covid.
Do yourself a favor and give your business to people that guarantee their work. Expensive lesson learned...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy iphone xs had a cracked back glass. Every time the phone got dirty I would wash it under running water for a few seconds and everything was fine, even with the big crack. So I made sure to ask the tech beforehand if the phone would still be water resistant after the glass replacement. He said, "Yes, our glue is water resistant." But now it obviously ISN'T. Water got in and damaged the phone, so I brought it in again in hope for some treatment and better gluing. The tech this time was very rude, trying to argue and basically telling me there is no such thing as water resistance after a replacement like that. I was furiated because I wasn't even there to seek an apology, I wanted a solution, and they treated me like EITHER I was lying OR it was completely my fault to naively believe such thing about water resistance. How was I supposed to know?! I'm not the expert, they are. They were supposed to tell me the right thing from the start, so I would have never trusted my phone to them! The manager was nice enough to offer the water damage treatment of no charge, but while the first tech was incompetent, the second tech was just plainly ignorant and disrespectful. And after 4 wasted trips to their store my phone is still not working right. It was fully functional and fully water resistant before. Now it won't even read the sim card. I honestly hate having to write all this. But I'm beyond disappointed. The whole thing feels like an...
