I normally don’t leave reviews unless they’re 4 stars or more but I was so disappointed today I had to leave a negative one. This is my second time here, first time I came on their first week they opened and got a chai latte and turkey pesto panini, service and panini were great, but what’s the point when the drinks suck. More milk than anything else and tasted as if a cheap chai mix was used than actual tea. Terrible beverage but I didn’t complain, finished it, left a tip, and decided to try this place again in the future. Here I am, second time, ordering a matcha latte. Brother, if you don’t know what a matcha latte is, ask questions, your co worker was right there, other than charging me for it. I received an iced green tea, I reiterated I wanted a matcha LATTE, dude comes back with a cup of iced milk and a green tea bag(unsweetened). I understand matcha isn’t on the menu but what kind of coffee shop doesn’t carry one of the most essential menu items literally every other coffee shop has/isn’t trained to make one? It’s like going to a Mexican bar and the bartender doesn’t know how to make a margarita and makes you a concoction with cheap tequila. I don’t know who to blame, management for not properly training their baristas, or the owner for having low quality ingredients. Do better management, your making your baristas and shop look bad. Lets see if they improve on my next visit, third time shouldn’t be the charm. Will...
Read moreI walked into Beans & Brews depressed after watching Ilia Topuria viciously knock out yet another one of my favorite fighters. It's a different kind of feeling, watching someone you look up be fed to the canvas. MMA is not like a normal sport where you can always do some mental gymnastics and hang onto a "the refs stole that game" or "one bounce different and we win that..." No. You have to sit there and watch one of your heroes seemingly lifeless on the canvas. Every time you open Instagram you have to watch it again.
Anyways, I needed a pick me up and knew they meant business when the lady at the counter had one of those McDonalds like headsets on. Even though we were the only ones in the place, she was ready for battle. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.
As I was waiting for my 24oz cold brew ($4.95) to help me through the 5 stages of grief, I took in my surroundings:
It's almost like a corporate office trying to cosplay as a coffee shop. It's what I imagine a coffee shop at the Meta "campus" would look like. There was even a little conference room with 3 flat screen TVs hung on the wall. Super interesting. I still don't know how to feel about it... would be a great place to work out of though.
Cold brew was solid and did its job in getting me through the 4th stage of grief. THANK YOU BEANS & BREW!

Read moreUpdate: Beans and brew team, you have officially earned back your fifth star. This morning (9 Feb) went back for my coffee and it was amazingly HOT! Finally!!!! It was definitely what you guys were missing. Thank you for making that adjustment. Hats off to management and team for fixing it. And the blueberry muffin was AMAZING! 5 stars across the board. Good job team! Can’t wait to come back.
It’s got 5 star quality but I had to give it a 4. Reason being is if you ask for a hot coffee, coffee should be hot. I’ve been coming here about twice a week now and every single time I come the coffee is lukewarm at best. One of the employees (shot out to her, never got her name)was kind to heat up the coffee, nice and hot(PERFECTLY) after I asked her. The following day I went back a different employee, said, “we don’t do that”. I’m sorry service, had to give you a 3. But everything else is five star. The coffee is amazing! The temperature of it should improve, but other than that the coffee is amazing! The muffins are the best in town. The facility is super clean and the staff is super friendly. I’ll still be coming here my two times a week. I...
