Bill Miller BBQ — Restaurant in San Antonio

I would give Zero stars if I could. Not even worth 1 star. Worst experience I've had at this Bill Miller's and have had plenty of bad experiences at this location and other multiple locations.

Waited 25 mins after being told it would we 15mins for fresh chicken to be prepared. Went inside to check on my order just to find out they never started my order. The manager Peter was rude as usual and said he would give me what he had but said it wasn't going to be what I ordered. Then said he would give me a free dinner next time I went in. After I explained to him I didn't want anything for free just wanted what I ordered he said he couldn't do that. I told him I hated coming to this location so much I didn't even redeem the last "free" meal from a previous mistake they made because I knew it wouldn't be a great experience again. After this all the staff was looking at me and I told them I hate coming here, especially this location but my wife wanted chicken.

Is it so hard to have employees that care ? Food is getting more expensive but employees and food quality is decreasing.

BTW while I was there Peter had to give a refund to a gentleman and a old lady had to bring her to go order back in because...

Won't be returning here. Went through the drive thru and order the #4. The lady asked if I wanted small or medium fries. In all my years of coming to Bill Miller, they have never had size options. I said medium, thinking that was the normal size. The prices listed on the menu were $6 and change and $8 and change. When I got to the window, the price was $10.10 before tax. I asked why, and it was $1.75 for the upsize in fries. I asked when they started having different sizes and she said it has always been like that. That is a flat-out lie. I used to work for Bill Miller and this is the first time in my life I have been offered sizes. Even when ordering online there are no options for different sizes. I asked her what size the meal normally came with before and she said medium, so I asked why the upcharge if that's what it always came with. She said "because you ordered medium". I told her that she just said that is what is usually comes with, then she back-pedalled. I said nevermind, it is already done, and got my food. The fries were semi-warm and not extra crispy like requested. The chicken strips were barely room temperature. I used to love Bill...

So this place is getting 5 stars based off what it is and what it attempts to accomplish. It’s the not the best tasting or most amazing dining service out there but for the cost, time and convenience it does that job very well.

As with many other reviews it can be hit or miss at times, the service overall pretty decent with fixing any small issues that will eventually come up with given the fast food type establishment they are. They do well to fix most problems quickly just talk to a manager if you are trying get anything really done.

The food here is pretty tasty and has decent value when it comes to BBQ you can get in Texas. You won’t find award winning recipes but you will find good bbq that’s fairly consistent delicious sweet tea and above all fair price and good service.
