Cheesy Jane's — Restaurant in San Antonio

Bubbly and playful, this is the perfect place to go for a high - spirited place with good food and uplifting energy!

There's a lot of retro style influence in the decor and colors which adds a really nice flare and nostalgia to it. I think it's vibrant appeal is what also adds to its fun and laidback nature. Lots of comfortable seating, plenty of room and cute decor around the outside of the building as well as mainly inside that can be great conversation starters. If you're a lover of vintage, retro or other classic items then this is a place that's worth giving a try!

The food here is great and lives up to its name of being cheesy (a lot of their food items coming covered in a satisfying layer of gooey deliciousness to really satisfy the craving). A lot of the items also come with cheese on them or it can be added but there's a vast array of options to choose from with or without cheese on them. Since we kept it pretty simple we ordered the baby jane samplers, the southwest burger and a deluxe bacon burger (we shared the fries and tater tots collectively). While the tots are alright I preferred the fries a bit more although they were both good. The portions are also very large and filling so everyone will definitely be satisfied or leave with takeout boxes. Although also a little on the salty side for the fries and tots, the food was great and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who loves adventurous burgers.

Very similar to the aesthetics of the place, the staff were friendly, outgoing and welcoming. They offered great service with checking in, offering recommendations of their most popular items (and personal favorites) and greeted us both coming in and going out of the restaurant. It felt very familiar despite it being our first time going and it gave us a positive impression with how uplifting and helpful they were. Definitely a wonderful experience!

Came to dinner after hearing great reviews from friends and colleagues. The food was really good but the service was awful. We ordered and our waiter Christian forgot half our order and didn’t even check on us to see if we needed anything while waiting for our food. Had to tell him more than once to please bring out things and still he didn’t. A salad we ordered took him 45 minutes!! Yes they were slammed, but we came in before the crowd so really no excuse.

We did order the salad later after our food order, so we understood if that took longer. But not 45 minutes after our food was brought out!! And a Coke Zero never was brought, nor mustard. And we ordered a shake that was brought out only after going up and telling him because he had forgotten about it. When receiving the check had to ask for the Coke Zero to be removed from the bill. We told Christian how he had forgotten half our items and he only said “Sorry” with attitude and said to give him my card so he can bill me and get it over with. I was so shocked of how he was talking to me!

I was not being rude but just telling him how annoying it had been to keep on reminding him and that our salad took forever. He said he had been a server there for 2 1/2 years and basically said I don’t care you didn’t like your service. I will not ever go back and the owner may not care, but he/she just lost a customer.

I myself am a business owner and if one of my employees ever treated a customer like Christian did, I would do something about it. I know he was slammed with people but we got there before everyone else did and didn’t deserve having him get annoyed with me for telling him he basically did not provide good service to my table. 7•18•25 came back and ordered the cheesy Jane cheese burger with onion rings and another with tots both were very good highly recommend this and for desert had the chocolate waffle shake was so delish thank you staff and Cheesey Jane's for your awesome meals. Place is super clean nice staff very welcoming and awesome oldies. Very different than the usual. 6•29•25 we decided to come back its been abt half yr. So yes the food was delish I ordered the chicken avocado blt and man that chicken was super juicy and tasty idk what they put in it but you wont regret it hadn't enjoyed a chicken sammich in a hot min. But I highly recommend it No regrets. My hubby ordered the cheesey jane burger and as always juicy burgers not greasy. So delish and will return again. Thank you staff for being very courteous. And thank the cook for his cooking skills. So good.

12•21•24 Oh my goodness, I've come to S.A. many times, and how have I bypassed this little restaurant? I've never seen it. It is our very 1st time, and boy are thier hamburgers delicious yes a bit pricey but so we'll worth the presintation and the portion I highly recommend this hidden gem, and I myself will definitely come back.
