BEWARE AND CHECK YOUR BILL THEY ROUND UP ON ALL OF THEIR PRICES!!!! I am soo disappointed after coming here a few times this quickly became my favorite restaurant. However my last visit I was shocked to find out they over charged me. Other visits I never really paid any attention to the bill but this time hubby accidentally dropped his coffee in my plate and we ordered another the waitress was friendly and was quick to put in our order but came back shortly afterwards to let us know they were going to charge us. I was disappointed in the customer service because most restaurants would give it to me free as a courtesy, I had taken 1 bite, but it's all good I paid. But when my bill came back $60 I asked for a breakdown they handed me a menu and the waitress just stood there watching me. Well turns out those $2.50 tacos are $3.00. My plate on the menu was priced at $9.25 they charged me $10. I felt so cheated. I asked why and they told me due to covid prices had gone up yet this disclosure wasn't in the menu nor did the waitress notify me of this. Then the lady proceeded to tell me "there's a SMALL sign on the door at the entrance". This place should be ashamed. During a pandemic their customers go and support this local business only to be taken advantage of. There are no shortages to where this would be necessary. Some people scrounge up just enough money to support them and go have a meal out so their family can feel some kind of normalcy and they cheat you! Needless to say I...

Food was a little less than average in my opinion. Bean and cheese tacos were good it’s hard to mess that up. Asada mini tacos were extremely chewy and overcooked I don’t believe that the shredded lettuce salad in the middle was a good idea it makes the tacos soggy. Sticking with a classic onions and cilantro would have been your best bet.
Service was lacking from poor communication to little to no interaction from our waitress after the food was served. Not a great look especially during the morning hours when we were the only customers in the restaurant. Employees were on their phone texting and basically had their heads down the whole time. We ended up leaving because the waitress just disappeared no refills, no hows the food nothing. Asked for a straw and was shown a box to grab a straw from which is a great way to spread germs get some single packaged straws to avoid that. Did not leave a tip.
Atmosphere could have been better they only had one restroom and it was pretty gross. For all the employees on their phone one could have cleaned it at least. Also the table cloths with the bright colors not a great idea because it’s a material that absorbs so there were stains on the initial table we sat at you could see all the stains. Put a clear plastic over those types of tables it’s easier to clean and customers won’t be...
Read moreTLDR; I would highly recommend for happy hour drinks and tacos! Great big bar and incredibly friendly folks.
I liked the food, the chicken cilantro taco was particularly good, and the tamales oaxaquenos was truly delicious. I did wish there was a little more spice to the items (totally possible I just happened to order a bunch of tamer recipes), or at least the salsas had more umph to add if needed. Overall it felt a lot like they were struggling to shake the food truck vibe and actually be a restaurant; from ordering at the counter, paying before eating, a limited menu selection, no water offered with the alcoholic beverages and infrequent table visits, and really limited hours. All totally ok things alone, but altogether made for the place feeling less like a "restaurant", and more like a "permanent location". I think a really big strength of this place could be it's potential for happy hours after work, but closing at 8 makes it tough. The pricing of items like the "Dip Trio" definitely reflects the struggle of managing overhead expenses and keeping margins profitable, because the queso and salsa quality and portion weren't quite enough to justify the $10. The Guac was delicious, and likely accounted for a hefty portion of the cost. All together I would definitely recommend giving it a try, bring some friends and make yourselves at home at the super...
