Some of the best flavored sushi and ingredients Ive had anywhere. The bowls here are full of flavor and the variety offers enough to keep you coming back several times. Aside from the Poke Bowls, this place is known for the "Sushirito" which is big on the West Coast. This restaurant is the only place in San Antonio offering them at this time. Bowls are offered in 2 sizes, you select your types of fish, all your ingredients, sauces, and then toppings. The crispy garlic and the toasted sesame seeds really make the bowl flavorful. Pickled daikon, seaweed salad, crab salad, kale, and a lot of other items are offered as toppings. Prices are fair for the amount of food you are getting, a 2 protein bowl is probably equal to 1 1/2 sushi rolls. The spicy tuna here is excellent, one of my favorite items. I will definitely return again.

My friends and I never had a "sushi burrito" before so thought we'd try it. This place was jam packed! They have a few tables with three chairs each a couple of couple tables and bar style seating along the wall. This place is not ideal for large groups. I went with a group of 4 and we wondered if we'd luck out and get a table. So keep that in mind. The staff was so busy that they seemed annoyed when we asked questions even after explaining that it was our first time there. They didn't have fountain drinks or alcoholic beverages but they did have a small selection of bottled drinks and a water station. I got a Geisha Burrito which was delicious but it was messy and broke. I would go back but next time skip the "sushi burrito" and order a bowl or a salad.

Hula (formerly Rolling Fish) is the original poke joint in San Antonio. The food and toppings are fresh and delicious, and the value is even better. The price is determined by how many scoops of protein you want, but after that, the toppings are unlimited. Although the sushiritto is a fun novelty meal, I would suggest getting a traditional poke bowl. The poke bowl can accommodate more toppings and is more filling, in my opinion. Besides the food, there’s a good drink selection as well. For the most part, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding a place to sit, but it’s a small little restaurant and fills up easily. Glad to see Hula’s success and the addition of new locations!

This was my first time having poké…ever! I came because of the excellent reviews and honestly I wasn’t too disappointed! The atmosphere is great with good music playing plus a very clean environment. The prices aren’t as expensive as I thought they would be for a poké place also! When I got my bowl I was glad it actually tasted pretty good. Not better than sushi, but good! The only disappointing part was the protein ): I asked for crab sticks and for that one ‘scoop’ counts as one stick. So sad! My bowl ended up being mostly rice because of this, but I was glad the rice was hot and fresh. And I wish they had drink options! Yummy drinks are important to me!

Overall pretty good but can’t say I would be back, maybe poké just...
