I’m sorry to do this ,but I feel it’s a must. I honestly rarely ever leave reviews unless they are positive, however our experience was so terrible I want to warn others.We have been coming to this location for many years and still order from here frequently from food delivery services.Today I got a wild hair and decided to take my daughter in person for breakfast since we had a few errands to run in the area.BIG MISTAKE!We will not be returning nor ordering from here ever again.First of all the restaurant was filthy !The floors ,restrooms,tables…everything was absolutely disgusting. We found hair in our menus,the sugar caddy, and in my daughter’s glass of tea. Our server seemed nice enough at first, and it wasn’t super busy when we arrived around 9:40 am.We noticed she was taking other table’s orders that came in after us before she took ours ,but I wasn’t really bothered by that.We ordered some waffles with strawberries (which we were told they were out of strawberries ) and a kids meal with pancakes.It seemed like it was taking quite some time and I started noticing everyone around us was getting their food. (Mind you it was only 2 of us and some of these tables had 5 people or more AND arrived after us)By this time I was starting to be rushed by my husband who was needing me home so he could be on time for an appointment. I politely asked my server if she knew how much longer it would be and she replied very short and rudely that she would check but that everything was taking long because it was so busy. Again it was not very busy when we arrived , but by that time we had been there almost an hour so it was getting busier. I was still kind and pointed out that we were noticing people who came in after us getting their food to which she replied “yeah it’s because y’all ordered waffles and we only have one waffle maker “ 🤔) Now I was a sever for many years and I know all the little fibs servers tell when they don’t want to admit they have just straight up forgotten to put your order in.I was starting to get more annoyed because I was being rushed to get home and also because our server seemed to be in her own universe. I still didn’t see her again for about another 10 minutes when I finally asked her to please just box it all up ,give me my bill and that I would just come back to pick it up after I picked up my baby. She rolled her eyes and said “well it shouldn’t be much longer “ another 5 or so minutes passes and she brings out only part of our order. I tell her ok I really need to leave and ask can she just please cash me out and I will come back for the rest. She responded “by the time I cash you out the food should be ready “ yet another 5 minutes passes and she brings me my change. I ask her to break a $10 down because I am still planning on tipping because I always do regardless of service because I don’t want to be that person that doesn’t tip and have them think I am just another stereotype. Another 5 minutes. I finally get the rest of my order , but still not my 2 $5s. ( I forgot to mention you can no longer cash out at the register. You are forced to wait on the server … would probably make more sense to keep a bank in their aprons so they can give change back quickly , but I guess that’s too much work and math for them to comprehend ) I finally get up to just meet her at the register and she gives me a $5 and 5 $1s after I asked for 2 $5s. Not a big deal, but just another thing to add to the laundry list of things that went wrong and more proof that service has completely tanked in the last few years. I really hope they get it together soon, but I have serious doubts. Yes , I realize this is an extremely long review , so just imagine how terrible things had to be for me to take time out of my busy day to write this. When we arrived home our food was cold ,(shouldn’t it be hot considering it supposedly just came out fresh?)and had no flavor. Oh and PS , we saw several other tables get their food with strawberries that they we’re supposedly out of.Please think twice or 100 times before...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the place was empty except one guy, who was waiting to be seated with no host anywhere in sight. Asked him if anyone had been up front while he waited and he said no. We then walked to the back and found the host and told her we were all waiting to be seated. She then followed us to the front and told us she'd be with us in a min after she seated the guy ahead of us (who thanked us or he would've had to continue to wait). The waitress (also was the host) took her time, so we seated ourselves. We asked for 3 waters with lemon, 3 chocolate milks for the kids and a regular white milk. It took us 30min to receive our drinks, then when we wanted refills we had to ask for them and wait another 30 min. One of the kids spilled milk and nobody was around to help so we moved the table ourselves and made use with what we had. When they finally realized the mess, they starred rudely at us, then went to the back and talked loud enough about us we were able to hear. Then another waitress told another group that people like us only acted that way so we didn't have to pay for our meal. First of all, I walked in with a group of 7, i had over $5,000 in cash and 2 bank cards on my person,expected to pay all of our meal price, paying was never the problem. I did not tip, I never do this and was conflicted about leaving nothing because I know that's how waitresses make their living, but I also believe in working for your money. If getting a water refilled is too much to ask, than that's not the job for u. The place was empty. They would've rather been in the back exchanging conversation than cleaning their dirty taped up booths and sticky tables. I came to san Antonio for vacation on spring break and to show my family a good time and instead of having a good start, got made to feel like we were a burden on them for making them do their jobs. I'll never return to this location. Always have loved IHOP, but Oklahoma IHOP locations are so much nicer, and could teach this place a little something about their southern hospitality. Never assume I can't pay for my meal because your service was so sloppy and unmannerly, I kept my manners even though they're were undeserving. Read moreI am an ex worker here and I was a customer today and I had a server name Katrina (Kat) and she was as told we use to work there and she was extremely nice to us but once we paid she yelled at me in front of the whole restaurant complaining I didn’t tip and I told her we tried to tip her because our bill was $28.18 and she refused and gave us the money back and told us she is willing to pay the 18 cents and we said just use what tips we gave her for cover the whole bill and she gave us the tip back and said we was wasting her time when she was rarely at our table and we had to go to another worker to have them check us out then she comes back to give us our money back then disappeared for a while we finally got her to come back and take the money and she yelled at me and said “ you use to work here you should have done better on paying” when the whole time she was no where near us and when we called her she looked at us and turned around we waited at the table for almost an hour because she didn’t come to our table like she did her other tables I even told the manager Khaled and he said he will handle it I even have a friend who currently works there and my server told my friend to tell me to get out the restaurant and to never come back unless have money to pay which I did have the money to pay but she refused the extra money we gave her as a tip because in her words “ it wasn’t good enough and I should know how to tip people as an ex server and I should do better” than she proceeded to make a rumor to my friend that I was a horrible worker when she works morning and I use to work graveyard shift I have never seen her til today but after my first experience with her I do not recommend being her customer because apparently this is not the first time she has yelled at a customer for not tipping her but apparently she is the top server at the restaurant and does really well but after my one time experience with her I will not want to be in her section again she was extremely rude and disrespectful we even asked for a refill but she ignored us and rushed us to get out and like I said she yelled at me for wasting her time on a busy Saturday morning I understand it was busy but not my fault if she never acknowledged me at all even took about 10-20 mins to even...
