MOD Pizza — Restaurant in San Antonio

I would be giving five stars as typically my experiences here are very well but today was far from that. It was an hour after opening and both front doors were still closed. Stood there for 2 minutes trying to see if anyone was inside till I spotted someone that I thought was a worker but wasn’t it was a customer and he was the one that told me that I had to enter the store through the side door. Cause as I mentioned the front doors were still locked! After making our way inside we made our way to the front to make our order. But was met with someone just setting up individual cup/containers of marinara sauce. I understand finishing putting the tops on the ones you are working on but then starting a whole other set of what you were doing and completely ignoring the customers that are right in front of you??? Not once even after entering the store were my girlfriend and I were acknowledged or greeted. Everyone else just remind in the back talking not making any effort to what’s going on in front of the store. The group of openers today on August 18th 2025 are not it and should be able to open the place ever again. Well had high expectations and was really hungry to start. I arrive to a chipotle style setup for pizza and salad. So far looks good.

I decide on a Mod size of the "tristan," I believe which had a predetermined choice of cheese and veggies. I was told this pizza did not have a sauce and I was ok with that as I saw a sauce (pesto) drizzled on top. I also decided on one of their 4 salads (greek) and the "Mega" size of that.

Added a drink and total was 30 with tip. When food is ready you're called up to pick it up. Got my pizza looked ok and salad as well but a little small. Figured no problem the taste will make up for the size......🙄 nope. On top of that I shared a slize and had one and something just felt missing. I noticed on their menu it had the pesto sauced drizzled all over it,mine didn't.

I brought half the pizza and asked the guy at the register if I was missing something and he insisted I wasn't even though it clearly looked different from mine. Long story short, foods sub par for the price and god forbid they make a mistake they'll be sure to make you feel like it's your fault and your bothering them. Granted he finally offered another pizza (little attitude) but I figured he'd think that'd make us square. Nope and I won't be back.

I went to this location on the evening of 8/28. I ordered a gluten-free pizza and the employee did not change their gloves after having touched regular dough before handling my gluten free pizza (my family has a sever gluten allergy). Then when I ordered my toppings I was rushed as soon as the sauce was on, before evening getting to the veggie toppings. I added many vegetables which were only spread to the center (as someone who has managed/worked in the pizza industry you’re supposed to top the outside first because everything shrinks into the center when cooked). Upon receiving my pizza it was not cut at all, I had to fold my pizza in half in order to eat it (and could not serve to my family due to gluten allergies and the cross contamination I witnessed) In addition, my topping were still cold. There were large clumps of artichoke in minimal areas. I requested jalapeños on half of the pizza and the entirety was covered in jalapeño. I asked for cheese and pepper multiple times and received none. I was very disappointed as i I love MOD but this location really let me down.
