Jimmy John's — Restaurant in San Antonio

My nice and accurate review of Jimmy John's on New Braunfels. I placed an order for pickup at 1:37pm on a Sunday afternoon. My order was not started until I arrived at approximately 2:15pm. There were two other customers waiting on their online order. Now, to be fair, this was right after the lunch hour during busy hours. I was in no rush and was happy to see how my sandwiches 🥪 were made anyhow. The gentleman that prepared my sandwiches was named Abel. He prepared them all correctly. I ordered a #8, #16, custom #5, custom #3, four regular chips and 2 sweet teas. The employees were helpful and courteous. I was assisted with carrying my drinks to the car. My reason for not giving 5 stars would have to be the dirty floor. But as I noted earlier, I arrived right after the lunch hour. This JJ is the only location near us, and they regularly mess up our simple 2 person orders. We like the food chain, but we do not like this location. Never the same employees is probably the root cause. All that said, just getting our sandwiches today was especially bad. Only half the order was made to start. Easy fix! The kid at the register must be learning still. Once home, my wifes unwich was totally 100% wrong. I politely called for a refund and was told no, but I could come back for a new one. Not an option for us. I was persistent that I wanted a refund, but somehow the female manager and I were disconnected. I called back and the phone just rang, then hung up. I called back a few more times with the same hang-up each time. Eventually, the manager made time to refund my money. It took her just a moment to do the right thing, but not before making many wrong choices. Moral of the story check your order...

Great new Zesty Garden sub. I ordered this new one yesterday (4/11/22) The combination of turkey and aioli was unbelievably delicious. You should definitely try one at your earliest convenience. I am giving a one star only because of the "no substitution" rule that they have. I do not eat bacon so I politely asked for more turkey. The employee's response was "we cant do that, sorry no substitutions". I would completely understand if I were asking for something more expensive to replace the bacon but according to their menu turkey is cheaper. So now I have to pay for something that I did not want or get. Was I offered a discount to offset the lack of bacon on said sandwich, nope. I do not understand why we still have to pay full menu price (of just shy of $10) for less...
