I would have given this restaurant a 5 star rating...THE FOOD WAS GREAT, AUTHENTIC,FAST FRIENDLY SERVICE. THE LOCATION ISN'T THE BEST ,BUT IT APPEARS TO BE BE A CLEAN FAMILY OWNED RESTAURANT. I AM DISABLED,SO THIS IS WHY I RATE THIS ..LOW. AS I WALKED TO RESTROOM I HAD TO WATCH FOR FLOOR DAMAGE SO I WOULDN'T FALL, THEN WHEN I ENTERED THE RESTROOM,I WAS DISGUSTED.. WATER ON FLOOR, LIGHTS OFF,SO I HAD TO FOCUS .IF I WAS HEALTHY I WOULDN'T BE MAD LOL. IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT IF THE KITCHEN IS NOT LIKE THE RESTROOM...LOL REAL TALK... CUZ CLEANLINESS IN A RESTAURANT BUSINESS IS A MUST... REAL TALK. BUT GREAT FOOD!!!
Update : 5/20/19 I have been to The Puntada several times since my last review. The food is still awesome,as is the service. The restroom was cleaner as well. Thanks...

They suggested this restaurant in case we were hungry and other shops in the area if we didn't want to wait in the lobby. It was noon so we decided to try this place out. It's seat yourself and our order was taken pretty quick after we sat down. It's a hole in the wall but in my experience, those are usually the best places. My Partner had the Huevos Rancheros and I had a couple of Chicken Fajita tacos. The tortillas are homemade and that's always a plus. The chicken was good and not tough like some places. I didn't hear any complaints about the Huevos Rancheros so I guess it must have been good. If in the area again, I'd consider stopping by as long as it was before 2:00 p.m. because they...
Read moreYou have to stop and eat here. I am born and raised in San Antonio ..live in the Valley now. And no place else in Texas has tortillas like San Antonio and La Puntada did not disappoint! We usually eat breakfast tacos on west side of town but this time we tried south side leaving San Anto on the way home to the RGV. I googled somewhere near HWY 281 South and this place came up, I'm glad it did. We got breakfast tacos and my wife and son loved them. ( she is usually picky about her tacos) Homemade food with homemade taste. I felt like I was back in my jefita's house with her food again ..Bean and chorizo taco was one of the best in San Anto I ever had . Not expensive at all. You can't go wrong with this place ..The owner Oscar is a real good guy also. I sure miss...
