McDonald's — Restaurant in San Antonio

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'm giving a McDonald's 5 stars... so, why? Let's tick off the reasons... First - the only negative I have... I WISH y'all would put in Coke ZERO or one of those 100 drink coke option machines! But, KEEP the Sprite Tropical Berry! So, why the 5 stars fir a McDonald's?

1. restaurant interior - since they remodeled it a year or two ago, I've never seen it untidy or dirty. Trash cans kept empty, tables cleaned- and not just with a nasty rag they've clearly used on all the tables b4 without soap and water (blekh), the drink machines have always worked and not given all syrup or all soda water - mixture is correct, ice plenty even in the busy hours.
2. exterior - parking lot is always clean. The drive thru can get backed up but there's enough room for traffic to move around ot and not be blocked in.
3. food... ok, HERE'S my biggest surprise... I know McDonald's have been really trashed over the last few years for quality of food... but, in a hurry, I had a quarter pounder with cheese yesterday, got home to eat, and I couldn't get over the taste of the meat!!! Omg... it tasted like REAL FREAKING MEAT! not "pasteurized processed meat food" that's not fit to serve to prisoners! It tasted like regular good quality hamburger meat you'd buy from HEB (like the 85% or 90% lean good hamburger meat)... reminded me of growing up getting the "house burger" patty at home! The fries are... well.. still McDonald's fries which gave always been above 95%+ of ant other place's fries. Hot food, extremely surprising quality... IDK what they've done (McDonald's) but, if people come back in the numbers you used to get, they will keep coming back! I mean, it's not quite a whataburger... but... what else is? Ok, I actually like this place better than the whataburger on Grissom Rd! Faster, better quality, more drink selection, cleaner restaurant,...

I dont like fast food cause its mostly fry but, My daughter and i been coming here for 3 mouth since my dad pass away aug 28 , 17.It was a getaway for my daughter to play and me to rest. Staff been nice and helpful . Than i notice services and cleaness of the playroom was lacking after a while. Especally the a/c unit in the playroom would be broken. We have bought alot happy meals here. So i starting looking at the receipt and i notice 40 cents up charge for a fountain drink. Being a single mom and living pay check to check barely making it. I address it to the cashier some seem confuses and then get a manager then its its fixed. But yesterday on December 8, 17. After having a bad day decide to take my daughter to play and eat a happy meal. So paying for food the 40 cents up charge again. I told the cashier and she the skinny white guy who was manager note i have told him before but was clueless . Anyway yes it was sort of busy and he acted like i was a bother making a excuse the price went up. I try looking for a receipt showing the correct price. He then said something like he had better things to do. And just minus 40 cents. But another cashier who knew, corrected the price order. Any ways i was surprise after being a regular customer. I told them they just lost a customer but didnt seem to care nothing. So yall need to fix the price buttons and retrain your manager. Everyone check...

I'd have to say that this is by far the best McDonald's I have been to. They always get my order right, foods is always hot and the quality is great. The McD's at the Wal-Mart across the street is the worse McD's I have ever been to. You guys need to show them how it's done because I'm done with them and never going back. Keep up the good work!!

Had to remove 3 stars. I had a bad experience and McDonalds let me down. I went through the drive thru and when it came to my turn to order nobody attended me and had me waiting for 10 mins while the 2nd drive thru just kept going. Finally when someone got to the speaker, he says "yes sir" (with a lazy tone like he didn't want to work). He didn't even apologize for keeping me waiting for 10 mins nor I got a greeting. Then I go to the first window to pay and it turns out he never put in the order so I had to order again. I just told them I'll take my business elsewhere. I did and went to the McDonald's off Bandera,11611 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78250. They were so much nicer and took my order right away as soon as it was my turn. The food was hot and ready within 5 mins. I'll probably start going to that McDonalds and stop giving them my business just like Popeyes across the street. McDonald's needs to hire people that want to work and progress in life not lazy people like the one I...
