Date of dine in 01/18/2025 Ooh La La Korean BBQ delivers a dining experience that’s as interactive as it is delicious. From the moment we stepped in, the lively atmosphere and enticing aroma of grilling meats set the tone for a fantastic meal. But the true highlight of the evening was Jay, our server, whose warm personality and exceptional attention to detail made our visit unforgettable. We ordered Cajun shrimp, fried chicken, Cajun chicken, shrimp tempura, and a few sides. We The Cajun shrimp was a standout, perfectly spiced and we cooked it to perfection. The fried chicken was crispy, golden, and addictive, while the Cajun chicken brought a smoky heat that was deeply satisfying. The shrimp tempura was light, airy, and a delightful complement to the meal. Unfortunately, the spicy cold noodle didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While it had a refreshing texture and a kick of spice, the flavors didn’t come together in a way that matched the rest of the stellar dishes. That said, the other sides—like the kimchi pancake, steamed egg, and japchae—more than made up for it, rounding out the meal with vibrant, authentic Korean flavors. Jay’s attentive service truly elevated the experience. She ensured our grill was always in top shape, offered helpful tips on how to best cook the meats, and was always ready with a smile and quick refills of our sides. Her expertise and kindness made us feel like VIPs. Ooh La La Korean BBQ is a must-visit for food lovers seeking bold flavors and a hands-on dining experience. While the spicy cold noodle wasn’t to my taste, everything else was absolutely delicious, and Jay’s impeccable service sealed the deal. I’ll definitely be back again. 👍🏾👍🏾

This place is not truly - All You Can Eat - there is a catch! If you want All You Can Eat go to Chas Market & Kitchen on Pine St instead! Let’s start off with the bad. Wanted to give this place a 5 out of 5. Truly. But this is not really all you can eat. So when it comes to ordering your meats you MUST order 3 meats at a time. So that means if you finish your 3 meat selection and are hungry for more. You will need to get ANOTHER 3 meats. Not just 1! But 3. Now get this. Let’s say you aren’t that hungry and won’t eat all the meat? Well don’t worry! That’s why there is a fee for food waste! See the catch? Pretty uncool. Especially when you could just order 1 meat and take your time. The place was empty anyways. It’s a ridiculous rule and coming from New Jersey and the east coast where Korean BBQ is everywhere. I have never heard of this rule. To the owner I would’ve spent much more money here on Soju and alcohol if I wasn’t forced into ordering a ton of meat at once. But he/she probably knows best so no worries! So now the good. Kimchi is phenomenal. Best in San Antonio. Meats are fresh and not frozen. Sides are GREAT and you don’t have to follow the 3 sides at a time rule. Bon chon sides are decent could be a little more but the homemade kimchi makes up for it. Wanted to love this place. But I’m going to Chas Market & Kitchen instead for an actual all you can eat. Peace!

If I could rate a zero I absolutely would. Half of the menu isn’t safe to eat if you have a shellfish allergy which I have. The fried items are all fried in the same grease as the shrimp tempura. I’ve tried this place only once before and the banchan to my knowledge was shellfish free they asked the lady that makes it and she said it was safe to eat. Typically cucumber kimchi isn’t made with shrimp paste but I always ask to be safe. But the server today informed me it could be cross contaminated with shrimp due to them using shrimp paste in the kimchi. Which was extremely unfortunate i am pregnant so I don’t want to end up hospitalized due to cross contamination and potentially hurt my unborn child. I ordered the safe items which I really wanted was the Korean pancake. After getting the meats we started cooking and I got informed after the fact they didn’t have Korean pancakes. I wouldn’t have even stayed due to me already being limited with what I can and do eat. If they told me they didn’t have it when I ordered. We only ordered once and left paying $78 before tip. Not worth it at all for the price nor the selection they have. We’ve eaten at a few Korean BBQ spots that cost equal and has more of a variety of options.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had at a Korean BBQ restaurant, especially for a place that claims to offer the highest quality. I should have stuck to Gen Korean BBQ instead of being misled by San Antonio Instagram influencers.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was disappointing—lackluster and dingy, as if they barely made any effort to update the space from the previous owners (Jim’s Restaurant). While the prices might seem reasonable to those unfamiliar with Korean BBQ, they are far from justified. All the meats (galbi, ribeye, and wagyu) were significantly overpriced compared to similar competitors.

The service was painfully slow, moving at a turtle’s pace while our appetites were racing like a hare. Between long waits for meats and sides, it was hard not to notice how unclean the restaurant was. The greasy, poorly wiped windows were especially off-putting, making me feel nauseous.

The sides were bland and lacked any distinct flavor, and the ribeye was a whole slab of unseasoned meat—far too large to grill properly on grates that never got hot enough to render the fat or achieve a decent sear, even with the heat turned all the way up. The result? Chewy, flabby meat. Normally, ribeye is sliced thin to allow it to sear and render properly, but that wasn’t the case here.

The final straw was when our waitress brought out squid, wine-marinated pork belly, and beef belly—all on the same serving plate. The juices mixed together, making it extremely unappetizing and unhygienic.

One more note: gratuity is automatically added to the bill, so be cautious when paying.

This was my first and definitely my last visit to...

If I could give it a 0, I would. Our waitress was okay, but the food was absolutely atrocious. We came here for lunch and ordered from the dinner menu, only to be told that two of the items weren't available.

She brought out two salads at first glance they looked fine, but underneath, everything was wilted and turning red. I checked my husband’s and it was the same.

We also ordered a Korean cheese dog, but they couldn’t make it because they couldn’t find the cheese. One of the unavailable dishes happened to be what I really wanted to eat.

We were told we could order three meats at a time, so we chose garlic shrimp (which turned out to be just four shrimp drenched in jarred garlic), garlic chicken, and beef bulgogi. All of them were sitting in their own juices. If i could upload all the pictures i took, i would. We never got refills, weren't even asked. We only ordered the 3 meats, ate the sides we got, or we'd be charged for leftovers and left.

Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. I love that you responded but I have been to plenty of other Korean BBQ places in San Antonio and technically it cross contaminated just because there was a piece of parchment paper in between the meat and chicken doesn't mean it's ok. All other pictures posted on here doesnt show anyone getting their raw meat like ours and yours is the first to send it in the juices like this. Also the waitress herself came to the table to tell us they couldn’t find the cheese they would keep looking I told her just to leave it alone. There are 3 stalls and only 1 works as well. The restaurant had 1 other table the entire time...
