So I've had trouble with this place on more than one occasion. And I feel like I need to actually say something and give people a heads up.
First and most importantly, this place and their employees aren't clean. To give context: I was picking up a order some months ago and notice only one person in the back prepping chicken. What I noticed was the gloves she had on were dripping what I could presume was sweat into the batch of chicken. I did what I could to report what I saw and I haven't actually been back (until today) to see if anything changed.
So today I went to pick up an order. Apparently they had given it out to someone else and while I cannot do anything about it, the employees behind the counter made sure I could hear their conversation! So in light of that I want to give anyone who orders from here a heads up!
If you use any app to order food from here and it goes missing, they will not refund you! They also will refuse to remake it! But don't worry. The nice employees behind the counter had the wisdom to avoid this, pick it up yourselves! Or rather just cook at home!
That's right. Even if they give away YOUR FOOD to someone else who waves around a phone they will not refund you! Or remake it despite their own mistake!

Read moreToday I experienced the worse service at the Popeye's restaurant at IH-10 E in San Antonio (the one closes to UTSA). Joe and I were going in for just regular fried chicken, the line was a bit long but we decided to wait since it usually moves pretty fast. WELL NOT today, after ordering our lunch the employees behind the counter were just not interested in working and were moving so slowly. Then one decides that she doesnt like it there and says I am quitting and walks to the back. The other 2 female employees proceed to follow her to the back leaving everyone in line and waiting on their food. Two of the employees come back but then proceed to lock us in the restaurant so that no one else could come in since they said they were not able to handle the orders that they had and asked the customers in line at the counter to tell anyone coming to the door to have them go through the drive thru. To make a long story short it took them over an hour to give us our lunch making me late back to work and when we did get it to go no one was able to unlock the door for us to leave!!! After walking around to the only door they could unlock we were out and on my way back to work and to top it off our food was cold and inedible. I will never go back to that Popeye's ever again. Read moreThe spicy chicken sandwich was extremely rubbery. When I bit into it, it was like eating a wad of rubber bands. I even tried to tear it apart and couldn't even do that. The fries were cold. Grease tasted old. I went back thru the drive thru and asked for my money back. They gave me no problem with refunding me my money. While waiting for my refund I noticed the manager and another employee I could see thru the window was not wearing gloves. I questioned why he nor his employees had gloves on and tried to tell me they were washing their hands every 30 min and were in the process of doing that now. I saw a manager refunding my money with no gloves and an employee standing next to him clearly not washing their hands... just standing there... no gloves. I hadn't noticed this the first time I went thru to place my order. If I had noticed, I would have kept going, called the health department, and gone somewhere else to eat. With covid-19, why why why aren't you wearing gloves? The employee standing next to the manager was wearing an apron so that tells me they are either a cook or a food prepper with no gloves on. Disgusting! I will never ever eat here again. Will probably not ever eat at another...
