Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in San Antonio

I'm sorry folks, this Drive-In has really gone down hill. I've been having issues with wrong orders, rude employees over the phone (when they actually answer), & can never get ahold of the District Manager, Ernest I believe. This last experience was & is the last straw. I ordered 3 large double cheese burger combos & a wacky pack plus 2 extra corn dogs. All burgers were made wrong and sloppy. Sides were correct, drinks were on point. Corn dogs were cool-luke warm. Tried several attempts to get in contact with store. No answers. Went back, was told there was no manager on duty. Called the Area Manager, one ring then disconnects. Got fed up, called corporate. Had to reach out through email. Explained in detail. Sent pics of receipt. They replied, asking what was ordered and what was wrong. Did that, again. Now, they replied that they're gonna add three (3) digital coupons for a "free" Sonic cheese burger, WITH PURCHASE. I don't have the app, I'm not downloading the app. I'm done with this place. They use to be proud of their service. Burger Boy is right across the street....

Worst experience ever here. The burger was gross and I've never had a bad burger here before today. They kept messing up my side and rang up Motts instead of tots. Then when I told them I didn't want applesauce, I wanted tots apparently they thought I wanted fries. Because that's what I ended up with. On top of not getting what I ordered, I decided just to accept it and leave because we had already held up the line with the Motts mistake- the fries were freaking old/cold. Got home and couldn't even eat the first bite of burger. I spit it out and threw the rest away. The bun was hard and looked underbaked. But also soggy.. I dunno how that happens but it did. Also it had ketchup on it. I thought they only came with mayo? Unless they gave me the wrong freaking burger too! At least I had mozzarella sticks, which were at one point removed from my order during this whole debacle. Also, I don't know if the system is broken because only the drive thru has been open for a couple of weeks or can't find enough people to hire or what - but I hope this was just off day...

It's was around 4:30am this morning, when I threw up my Sonic Burger. Only thing I ordered. No tots and drink. Last meal was at 9am. Felt great and hungry at 7pm. Sucks... It's around 5:30am now and I feel better. I ate Sonic Burger then about 2 hrs later I ate some Gluten Free Cookies and milk, and a bowl of Chex rice cereal with banana. I got to keep the Cookies and Cereal in my stomach. It was mostly chunk bits of the meat, and the lettuce and bits of pickle.

A couple weeks ago for the weekend my husband ate some Sonic Chicken strips at this same location with tots, and a large sweet tea. He snacked on some peanuts M&M's and around 2 am he threw up a couple of times, it was mostly whole bits of the chicken.

Maybe this food isn't even digestible. I will not longer be able to eat Sonic since I puked it up. 22 years later I still can't with the strawberry milk. My husband is very healthy and never really has any problems. Eat at your own risk of throwing up your $6.00/burger. The chicken ain't cheap ether. Get you a bag of fully cooked strips from...
