Can you give a place negative stars??? Horrible experience. Now to start let's first state that, I've worked in the food industry for over 25 yrs, and this might just be the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. So I'm picking up a delivery order for a customer for Uber Eats. The Togo person let's me know itll take about 20 minutes, not an issue sometimes that happens, so I wait, I actually go next door and get a little shopping done. Come back 15 minutes later and told there are 3 more orders ahead of me. So I wait longer. I'm a very good waiter( lol ). About an hour goes by, never once did I complain or even talk to anyone about the length of wait. Finally at 54 minutes I'm told the order is ready except they are out of an item, the said item had been taken off their instore menu 2 months ago but is apparently still on take out menu online. So an hour after I get there they tell me the order cant be completed. Then i ask if they contacted the customer, kiss tattoo neck guy tells me hes not going to contact the customer, it's not his job and I should leave because the customer is probably getting upset at me for taking so long. I ask to speak to the manager and he says " yeah she's right there, she's got my back" I ask the manager why nobody felt like they should let me know that they were out of an item during the hour long wait for ONE SUSHI ROLL. She said " I dont know, sorry" I then replied " really that's all you have to say" she said " that's all your going to get". The audacity to speak to a guest in your restaurant like that. I never once raised my voice, never called names, was never rude or condescending, yet both employees of this restaurant felt that they had the right to disrespect me and for the person that placed the order. In conclusion if you want to eat at a restaurant that doesnt care about you the guest then this is the place for you. PS, I've been to other zushi sushis and have never been treated even close to this. Planning on contacting corporate but not even sure if I care if they fix this issue, it's not like they can change my mind or assure me that this wouldn't happen again. You have management that doesnt care about your guests and also condones rude and unprofessional behavior of...

Just left this location with my fiancé I’ve been to a different location with exceptional service and good quality sushi. This location was no where near as good. As foodies and culturally inclined in different foods, due to our backgrounds, this location didn’t meet even our lowest expectations. (I’ve also lived in Japan for quite some time) Our appetizer was tasty and arrived at a good time, but we ended up waiting for about 45-50 minutes for our actual meal. We requested our check before receiving it, but the manager seem to have sped it up and gave us a discount. Though, speeding it up seemed to make the line rush out food, only causing it to taste and look unappetizing. I quite literally felt sick, as if wanting to throw up, when I took my first few bites. The smell and taste were off. My unagi (eel) was not cut consistently and was not just charred, but burnt on several areas. The avocado and cream cheese in my rolls were obviously old and gave an off smell. My fiancé had two plates, one with sashimi and one bento box. His rice tasted old and his various fishes tasted off, as well. The rolls on his plate included fish chopped in a way like minced meat, giving an awful texture on the tongue and releasing an unusual amount of a fishy taste.

Not to mention, watching the workers in their line, didn’t seem so smooth preparing dishes. I even witnessed a worker toss in “prepped fish” right next to the egg in the display case. The fish touching the egg, making me question if cross contamination could be another factor in the smells and taste.

**update 10 minutes after: My fiancé is now feeling sick as if wanting to throw up as well. We believe we now have food poisoning due to possible cross contamination. (He is a nurse and has background in working with restaurants) Thanks 👎

**recent update: Our bank told us that this Sushi Zushi location tried getting over on us with the discount. This location applied it, then immediately charged for the full amount as if there was no discount. Our bank got us our refund, fortunately. Sleazy management, horrible service, and a home for cross contamination. A surprise there are no lawsuits against this...

This is off of 2 experiences. Both based on the service. We love the food so that’s why I am not putting 1 Star. A few days ago, we ordered some food for pickup. Now we live out towards the country so it’s not a short drive. I had my father in law go pick it up. We ordered 2 pork curry’s but got no curry. I called and the manager said all she could offer was a refund or the 2 pork curry’s on the house the next time we go in. I told her I wanted both because it would be another drive I have to make just to get the replacement, she agreed. Today we decided to drive out there to get our curry. We ordered a couple of extra stuff and got our food. As we were still eating the waitress comes over and asks “that’s all you want, right?” I had to wait to finish the food in my mouth to tell her no we wanted dessert so she said “What do y’all want?” It all just seemed very rushed. I wasn’t even close to done eating! We told her what we were going to order, one banana haru maki and a mochi, but before I could tell her I wasn’t ready for them, she was gone. The dessert came fairly fast which normally wouldn’t be a bad thing but not when I still have a plate full of food. I wasn’t ready for my dessert. She also brought the receipt when we didn’t even ask for it because then we would have told her we were splitting it. As I was eating my meal I touched one of the bananas to see if it was warm and she just walks over and looks at me so I tell her “I was just seeing if it was still hot because I’m still eating” so she asks “Do you want a Togo box for your food?” Which I reply “No, I’m still eating.” By the time I was done eating, my ice cream was melted and my fried banana was cold. When we were finally ready to pay we told her how we were splitting it and gave her our cards. As we were signing, we hear her asking another table if they were going to get any desserts and if there was anything else that she could get them, all very nice and what you would expect. NOTHING like the service we got. She talked in a friendly voice but just rushed us the whole time. We went there for a make up order and still...

Hands down, our favorite sushi is found at @sushizushi, founded in San Antonio. We used to have a few locations in DFW, but the PHE did them in. While in SA, we made a point of hitting Sushi Zushi. We inhaled our favorites, the Godzilla Roll and the Cosimo Roll. Delicious! Unfortunately, the Spider Roll was inedible. We’ve had the Spider Roll many, many times and this was not it. For one, it had none of the usual presentation and, second, the chipotle sauce was wildly over spiced. We like spicy, but this was too much, approaching “Thai hot” or “ruin your day hot.” I brought this to the attention of our waitress and the sushi chef. Neither seemed to care. Especially our waitress who was , apropos of nothing, much more concerned sharing her love of wine tastings, wine festivals and other assorted wine related activities than addressing the issue. Gotta say, very disappointed in how this visit went.

I love sushi sushi because it’s always the right choice for a quick lunch with friends. The service is always excellent and the restaurants are very clean. The food is always good if you feel like eating a good roll or either rice or noodles with protein and vegetables or not the typical salad. It’s a healthy option. If you stay for their happy hour, which I love, they have very good prices and good options. Of course, the edamame is a must always and the dynamite crawfish it’s delicious. I also love the sunamono salad, it’s a great start. The food overall it’s good, not a 5 star restaurant, but the quality and the presentation of their plates it’s very acceptable and enjoyable!! I definitely go back every time I’m craving their food 😁😉😜

I am a sushi lover, and I have been coming to Sushi Zushi on I10 and the one at Stone Oak for years now. I have my very favorite rolls here, Cosimo, Toreado with scallops, Bull and some other. The appetizers I like are the spicy edamame ( has to be spicy!) , the salmon razor, and their miso soup. Do not forget to order your chiles toreados if you want that extra kick in your rolls! I like to come to this location while I am at work, it’s very well located and my favorite server is here, her name is Erika and she is the best! She always has the best recommendations when I can’t make up my mind. Sushi lovers, do not miss this delicious sushi!
