Very nice place, I didn’t expect it to look how it did, my husband told me they have good bean and egg breakfast tacos, so I just took his word for it. We ordered lunch and it was delicious. The last time I had carnitas was over 10+ years ago at a Mexican restaurant in Lansing, MI. I have not found any carnitas that have been good and not dry, this place is great!! I know I try to go off of reviews but a lot of times you just have to just trust. I pray that this review helps, but the most important issue is your soul. Where are you going when you die?? It’s either heaven or hell. It’s either you have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and be reconciled back to the Father God, through only the Son Jesus Christ, or you perish and go to hell. We are all born sinners, you have a decision (the most important decision to make in your life). We will ALL have to stand before a holy, perfect, and just God, and give an account of our lives. Our lives are being recorded, this should make you think. Repent while you still can, ask for forgiveness of your sins. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. Our “works” are filthy rags to a holy God, the true and living God. The One who is perfect and when He came to this earth, Jesus Christ the Son of God, He came as God in the FLESH. Because He loved you so much!!!! The gospel is simply put Jesus Christ who is also God, the Holy One of Israel, He came to die for all of mankind and take all of our sins and put them on Himself. His own forsook Him and did not know who He was. They mocked Him, spat on Him, beat Him, and so much more than our minds could even comprehend. His blood (the perfect Lamb that was the sacrifice, the last sacrifice) was shed for the forgiveness of sins. He died on the cross for you, and was buried, and on the third day, Alleluia, He rose from the grave. Why? Because Jesus Christ is God. He had the power to take His life and the power to take up His life again!!
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV
“for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23 KJV
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” John 10:18 KJV
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 KJV
Jesus is coming back soon!! Be ready!!
“who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 KJV
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 KJV
Get yourself a King James Bible and please read for yourself!! You must be born again or you will not see the kingdom of God!
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John...
Read moreThe food is great, the tacos and burritos are awesome. The menudo and posole have hominy, and the taste reminds me of how my mom used to make it. One burrito in particular reminds me of tex-mex style, not sure if the name but it costs a bit more, it has gravy cheese and potatoes inside. This restaurant is predominantly Mexican, but if you like Tex Mex you can get the breakfast "huevos rancheros" (which share the same style as Mexican food) or the burrito I just mentioned.
The reason for four stars on the service is because I always have to check my bag to make sure they get everything correct. Interestingly, the very few times(almost never) that I didn't check my bag, they have told me "I put everything you like is in there" and both times I was like "the bag doesn't feel right" but after the many times that I check the bag I gain their trust. Only to drive home take my shoes off and pout the bag out with the little things that make the tacos or burritos taste exceptional missing. A barbacoa taco Is not the same without it's "cebolla and cilantro" (onion and coriander) and a burrito is not excellent without it's "crema" (sour cream). Now, its very disappointing to be reassured that everything is in the bag, meaning if someone tells you everything you like is in the bag, the person saying that is basically telling you no need to check the bag.
Now for some reason I believe it's intentional, because if I always get a green and a red sauce and a lime. Then I'm told everything is in there, but there is only one salsa, the red one. If I'm known to always get the same thing, then when you reached for the sauce how does one forget that I, daily always ask for two. Then I'm reassured there is no need to look into the bag because she is sure that the lime I always ask for is in there. So you remember to put one sauce, one lime, but forget the cilantro and lime along with the green sauce which I ask for daily??? The thing is that it's only when they assure me, that I drive home only to find out that I have to drive back, and I feel like they know I'm going to drive back and when I do the mentality is "wow dude really? You came back for a salsa and the garnishing to your tacos or burrito??" For me it's the principle of telling someone that their order is in perfect standing only to drive home after a hard days work (treating yourself to a nice man) only to be deceived. It's the principle of it all. Why not just let my check the bag and just ask you for what I need instead of being deceived?
Was it intentional, well I can fully say yes with 100% certainty, but it does feel intentional.
Other than that, the restaurant and it's food is amazing. I give the service a 4 star simply because of the fact that they I would say out of a year or so (365 days) about 4 times a year this happens. So when I say I always check my bag, I literally mean I check it 361 days out of the years, now this is a bit exaggerated but just to give you an idea of how I am.
Great restaurant, great service, however even if they tell you everything is there, check your bag and save yourself an extra drive, disappointment, and time by taking less than 10 seconds to look through your food....

A few people mentioned this place to me, and couldn't believe I hadn't tried it because I pass this place a few times a week. So I finally stopped in for a late lunch. The menu didnt have lunch hours, but at 4pm I still ordered from the lunch section.
It took a few minutes before someone came to my table, I sat myself and picked up a menu at the register. I ordered a coke, which was a fountain drink with free refills and a few minutes later the waitress came to take my food order. She brought chips and salsa to the table.
I ordered the Texas plate, which is 2 cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, rice and beans, salad and guacamole. The plate came out along with some tortillas. The serving size was huge, the plate was completely full and about half way thru eating I knew there was no way I was going to finish it all.
The enchiladas were pretty good, the rice and beans good, and the carne guisada excellent. I could see myself coming back for carne guisada tacos. The plate as a whole was really good, and for the price of $7 was a ton of food. Definitely one of those places to go when your really hungry.
Service was pretty good, they did come by twice to make sure everything was good while I was eating. It was just a bit of a slow start when I first came thru the door.
I would eat here again, first because its affordable, second because the serving sizes were huge, and third because the food had good flavor. If your in the area and looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try, check...
