Yesterday, May 20, 2024, I called Chili's and spoke with a manager named Neo or Neil and explained that my chicken quesadillas that I ordered last week were uncooked. I explained that I'm a disabled veteran and that when I order something, I need it to be cooked properly because it defeats the purpose of me being ill and needing to order food and receiving said food After dropping $50-60 on it and having to cook it on my skillet; but this time I did not have the health or energy. Every time I seem to order these quesadillas that I love, I keep getting chicken strips with shredded cheese thrown on a tortilla that looks like it was microwaved instead of cooked to a crisp. My tortilla is completely uncooked.
I called for 30 minutes yesterday on 2 cell phones simultaneously before Neo/Neil answered the phone, and he promptly said. "I can't help, I'll transfer you." and then put me back on hold on purpose and continued ignoring the call, because I was trying to place my order online but have my quesadillas remade so that I could order delivery and have the quesadillas put in with my online order. So I had to drive all the way down there when I shouldn't have been driving. I should have been resting after being released from the hospital, but I had to get my food corrected for dinner because we had no groceries since I was in the hospital. Only for him to try to chastise me And tell me that it's supposed to be made the same day The mistake is made. How are you gonna do that, sir? If I ordered at night and by the time I even saw my food, your business was closing. Plus, I had a doordashed to me, and then I went into the hospital. You're trying to tell me that Chili would have paid to remake my order and have it delivered to my home for the second time that night? I think not. you guys don't even have the capability of making a chicken quesadilla correctly, and you honestly expect me to believe that you're going to spend an extra $15 to redeliver my order. Please stop with all the lies. and you're some 20 plus year old kid trying to chastise A 46 year old disabled veteran over your laziness and screw up.
Oh, in that 30 minutes of calling them when I walked in, they weren't even busy. There's only ONE TABLE that had patrons there. There were 2 employees sitting down and another one was looking at the phone, ringing. And then the manager comes up, and he's just looking at the phone ringing. And I'm like, "Yeah, that's me on the phone. I've been on the phone for 30 minutes. And you guys are all just walking past it." and he says, looking at the ringing phone. "Oh, this is you calling?" Reading my last name out loud from Caller ID. So basically, they're looking at my name because you can see who was calling in with caller ID, and they're purposely ignoring the phone call. So, I can read in between the lines, that you're saying you don't want me and my family to patron your establishment after 6 years of loyalty to the Hospitality location by purposely ignoring my phone call. A lot of you large restaurant companies are already filing for bankruptcy and going downhill. I can take my business elsewhere to a company that takes pride in their company, Knows how to answer the phone, Knows how to complete orders correctly, Treats their patrons with respect, as the people who keep the place in business. It's nothing off my back. I've already contacted my bank to get my money returned to me since you guys don't want to be bothered to do your job correctly. You all have CHOSEN to hire people They have continued to use the excuse of COVID to drive your business into the ground with their laziness, despite California increasing their pay to $20 an hour, so let that sink in to carefully vet your future managers and employees because your entire corporations depend on What caliper of employees you all choose to hire and clearly you guys have scraped the bottom of the barrel with this staff.
Goodbye, chili's. I have been with you for a majority of my 46 years of life, and I have been loyal to the hospitality location...
Read moreI don't even know where to begin with this...Let's start with my party and I ended up walking out. We showed up right at 11 a.m. for a Holiday office lunch, a small party of 5 and noticed right off, that there were quite a few people standing outside which we dismissed because the restaurant had just opened. But as we made our way inside we realized there was a party of 13 that had arrived earlier and would need to be seated 1st which was not an issue, however there were at least 20 more people there in front of us in parties of 3-5 as well. While the 1 server that was on shift was situating the party of 13 the manager was trying to accommodate people but very poorly. He had ONE server and himself at opening, on a Friday during the busiest holiday weekend of the year!!!!! My party and I did our best to be understanding and patient but the wait just got worse and worse and still only ONE server, after 25-30 minutes of this we decided to just leave because we hadn't even be given WATERS. On our way out we passed the manager and told him we just couldn't wait any longer and at that time he offered to at least get us drinks and told us that he only had the ONE server which we had already observed. There's truly no excuse for a Manager to be so short staffed during opening. Especially since when we left we just went right across the street to T.G.I.F where they had just seated a party of 40, we explained to our waitress our experience at Chili's and she told us she was actually called in to come in early because of the Holiday and not just her but several other co-workers. Not only was the service GREAT BUT SO WAS THE FOOD AND THEY GAVE US A COMPLIMENTARY DESSERT FOR OUR HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT CHILI'S. So whoever's reading this go to T.G.I.F also on a side note if someone TAKES THE TIME to write a negative review.....that's pretty bad, that means I want people to know that if you choose to go to Chili's...go at your own risk and I hope your not one of those people that say...I should've taken heed to...
Read moreFood was good as was the service. We have eaten there several time when in the area.
ATTENTION consumer advisory
SAD that the server said that they had to give a portion of their tip to others and if we didn't tip that she would still be responsible to pay the others. If this is a Chili's corporates policy or local owner policy It should be stopped. Management you are so cheap, just pay the cooks, dishwashers, busboys, hostess and any others more. The servers are the ones that we have interactions with. You are the lowlifes in the food service industry. The server are the ones that we are tipping and if we want to tip anyone else we will tip them also but separately. Does management get a share of the tip also? Do you charge the server in any way if they don't get a tip. The tip is theirs not your to give away and yes understand that they have to report the tips and pay taxes on them.
If the server want to voluntarily give a portion of their tips to the others that is for them to decide.
If I am wrong in this statement reply to it and set me straight and I will edit my post. Don't be afraid to say what your position is.
This is an edit on 1-31-2023 11 months later. I thought that management would response to my review due to the negative items. This shows a couple of possibilities, the first is that my review was spot on and they couldn't justify a policy that just benefits the company to not raise the wages of the non servers. I believe most patrons are leaving the tip for the server not the backroom employees. The second is that they don't read or care about reviews and they have too many patrons that they can afford...
