Read moreHad reservations for 7 pm on Valentine's day. Arrived but there was no place to park. I called to let them know I was looking for a place to park. Let the phone ring several times, no answer. This was at 7:01. Called again 3 min later. Finally, someone picked up. I explained about the parking situation, and that I had a reservation, the hostess continued by giving me instructions on where to park. Then gave her my name and the time of the reservation, she had told me that there was no reservation for me under the name I gave her. I was trying to park so i could look up the confirmation , at that time I had gotten another text message saying my reservation was cancelled at 7:03. Yeah, she had told me I was 6 min late arriving for my reservation so they cancelled it. I was about to show her the first phone call that was 56 sec with no answer at 7:01. And another call at 7:03. She didn't want to get into a discussion about time at that point and then put me back down for dinner for 2. We had a drink server, a food waiter and a girl who brought our entree. The order taken was not quite right, so we had to wait for another salad due to the wrong dressing, After that nothing, Not one of them returned to check on our drinks to see if we wanted a refill. The place was loud due to the fact that the music was so loud. Seemed everyone was trying to talk over it. The food was excellent, filet and lobster, the hostess was rude and the atmosphere was not what I expected for a steak house. It was more like a bar that sold good food. I will not be going back. Read moreI liked that my food was cooked to perfection. The service could have been better. I was there celebrating my birthday with family and friends. Everything was going smooth even though our server was not as nice to us as she was other people. We brushed it off because the food was so GOOD.
When we were done with our food my daughter reminded the server that it was my birthday and she replied very annoyed “yes I know, but do you guys want any desserts.?” We said No and asked for a To-go box. she brought it along with our check. We gave her our credit card, she left and then 5-7 min later she came back and just left our card on the table without saying a word. 🤷🏼♀️ She must have thought we weren’t going to tip her since we didn’t put it on the card. But I don’t think tips should be taxed so that’s why I rather leave cash.
After like 15 minutes people started leaving and as they were leaving someone who was not our server said “oh don’t leave , here you go.” Handing them a ball of ice cream And promptly leaving. No one was happily singing Happy Birthday; nothing. I honestly felt like I was singled out. Maybe the server thought I didn’t deserve it. she must have been under the impression I didn’t leave a tip since it was not on the card. I don’t know but it was rude. This totally ruined the mood.
