Where to start.....We pre-checked in on our Hilton App, it asked when would you expect to arrive. We put in 1500 arrival. We arrived at 1620, room not ready, we had to wait. Not a great start, considering we had been in the car since 10am.The gentleman apologized and offered us 2 snacks for the kids, with 2 bottles of water which was nice. Finally got our room, it was nice and spacious, Queen studio suite, but it's right beside a laundry room that ran all night long for 2 out of the 3 nights, so all night long all you hear is the machines running which is annoying. (Unless you like white noise, which I don't)Went to go check out the pool and hot tub, we'll the hot tub has caution tape all around it and looks dirty and broken. I specifically picked the hotel for the pool and hot tub, so we asked if we can use the sister hotel's pool and hot tub next door. They kindly accommodated that request, the first day was great but then the next morning we noticed a man fully clothed in the hot tub for hours, and at one point he looked like he may have been dead. When we went down to check on him but as we were on our way the Fire dept. had showed up then EMS. Apparently he was homeless and once they got him out, he wandered off. Later that day we saw him in a bush down the block. The next morning there was a different homeless man in the hot tub but he was naked this time in the hot tub, for about 2 hrs until police came to handcuff him and take him away.  The first night we came back to our room it had no heat. The unit was broken, we called the front desk, and the clerk says there are no maintenance staff until morning and no equivalent room to switch us too. I asked for blankets as the room was in the 60's, she said hopefully she can find some. Thankfully she did and eventually brought us two. The next morning for 2hrs we had workers in our room replacing the whole heater/ac unit. Came home that same day after being away for 10 hrs to the new unit not working and no heat AGAIN! A staff member came to inspection the unit and also could not get it working. The offer was to switch our family of 4 to a king bed room with a cot. Which will not work for our size of family so they brought us one more blanket for my son who was cold the night before and opted for another blanket.|The breakfast area was not replenished very well, often messy as well. I would not stay here again and not sure I would stay at a Hampton's either. I wished I chose another hotel as there are lots of options. Very disappointed with this hotel. I realize that this was a series of bad luck, but so much bad luck truly caused us to have a disappointing stay here and we had such high hopes when boking this place.||On the positive side, the room was spacious and nice, the pillows and beds were comfortable. The room was clean and well maintained. Fitness center was better than the three different hotels we stayed in...
Read moreUpdated Review I stayed one night last week at the Hampton Inn & Suites San Bernardino. I chose the property for a quick overnight and was greeted by a friendly front desk team. Check-in was smooth, and as a Hilton member, I received my two complimentary water bottles without needing to askâalways a small but appreciated gesture.
The room itself was clean but clearly showing signs of age and wear. The layout was spacious enough, and while the bed was comfortable, the overall furnishings felt a bit tired. One notable issue was in the bathroomâthere was supposed to be a sliding glass door on the shower, but it was missing, replaced by a shower curtain that didnât quite fit the setup. It worked, but it felt like a patch job rather than a proper repair.
The HVAC unit was another downside. It was unusually loudâloud enough to make sleeping a bit of a challengeâand it seemed like it hadnât been maintained in a while. I reported it to the front desk at checkout, and the staff acknowledged the issue courteously.
In the morning, I checked out the complimentary breakfast, but it looked heavily pre-packaged and unappealing, so I passed on it. It might work for some, but it didnât appeal to me.
Overall, this was an average stayâclean and functional but held back by maintenance issues and a few signs of neglect. Iâd give it a 3 out of 5 and would probably look elsewhere next time unless improvements are made.
*9 Months Ago Review I recently spent three nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites San Bernardino and left with mixed feelings. The welcome was less than warm, starting with a surprising change in the complimentary water bottles, which were only half-sized due to a management decision. The lobby, although clean, lacked a welcoming atmosphere and was noticeably underused by guests beyond breakfast hours.
Speaking of breakfast, although included, I chose not to partake, so I cannot comment on its quality. The room itself was clean, free from any unpleasant odors, and equipped with a comfortable king bed, a desk, and a chair. However, seating options were limited as there was no ottoman or additional chair to relax on besides the desk chair.
A notable issue was the bathroom setup. My shower was missing a door, replaced by a curtain that was too short, resulting in water spilling onto the bathroom floor during showers.
Having been a loyal patron of Hilton for many years, it's disheartening to encounter these issues consistently at their San Bernardino locations. It might be time for me to explore other options...
Read moreA few years ago with my brother paralyzed from a stroke. Returned here Oct 9 and Oct 10. The female manager at the Front Desk told us you did not rent a handicapped suite. We just rented both Handicapped Suites last night. She said you made your reservation through a Third Party. All we have available is room with a walk-in shower. The toilet is for preschool and daycare centers. .y sister and I are 2 adults that use adult toilets since we were teenagers. This hotel looked great a few years ago and now the carpet is falling apart and the carpets in the hallways are no longer one color. The furniture is old. The toilet seat was cracked when we arrived in the room. The wallpaper is peeling in the hallways. We wanted housekeeping services and when we returned after a day away from the hotel. We called room service for clean towels and we were told that housekeeping cleans the rooms every other day and the guest has to call the Front Desk told request room service. We have stayed in hotels all over the USA. My sister and I were staying in the same room. Our brother who was paralyzed has passed away. FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS. THE CHEF PREPARES THE BEST FOOD AND SHE IS THE MOST CHEERFUL EMPLOYEE. SHE IS 100% HANDICAPPED SHE NEEDS A HIGHER SALARY. SHE'S THE ACTUAL FACE OF YOUR HOTEL. (I DECIDED TO CHANGE THE LENGTH OF OUR STAY AND ONLY STAY 2 NIGHTS. I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE CALIFORNIA (909) AND THAT I CALLED THE TOLL FREE NUMBER ON YOUR WEBSITE AND I HAD TALKED TO A THIRD PARTY AND WE CANNOT PRINT YOU A RECEIPT SHOWING HOW MUCH YOU PAID. AND THAT SAME THIRD PARTY WILL HAVE TO REFUND YOU FOR THE NIGHTS YOU DID NOT STAY. I TOLD THE FRONT DESK. WHEN I COME TO CALIFORNIA AGAIN, I WILL NOT WANT TO STAY AT YOUR HOTEL. THIS HOTEL HAS TO BE REMODELED. I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING WHO THE NEW OWNER OF THIS HOTEL IS CURRENTLY OR IF IS STILL OWNED BY HILTON HONORS. JUST STATING AS I HAVE STAYED IN YOUR HOTEL BEFORE IN THE HANDICAPPED SUITE. PLEASE REMODEL THE INTERIOR BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE LIVING...
