This Pollo Loco is literally 5 minutes fr my house. I will never ever go there again. We moved here 3 months ago and have eaten here 5 times, 3 of the 5 times the chicken has made us sick. We think it was old chicken, because our left overs smelled rancid. On another occasion my husband ordered the family meal and it comes with a salad. He asked for no dressing. When the worker was handing it to him the worker shook it. My husband said, why are you shaking it, I asked for no dressing. The worker lied straight to my husbands face and said he was just making sure the lettuce was mixed. This last experience. I wish I could post a picture. Well, I was serving a large rice. There was a smaller cup inside limiting the amount of rice that we were given. This couldn't have been done on accident. This El Pollo Loco has forever lost my family's business. Too bad for them because we love...
Read moreA good place to stop, as long as you know ahead of time how you expect the food to be. This place's food is the same as almost all of the other El Pollo Locos that I've been to. The counter service was OK but not real fast. I had to wait for my change until the food was ready because evidently not a lot of people pay for a $9 meal with a $10 bill. No biggie. I ordered a Chipotle burrito combo, which was OK. Remember that their chicken for the bowls, salads, and burritos tends to be dry, overcooked, and hard. The wet ingredients in the burrito sort of compensated. The side of chips was anemically tiny. But I received what I was expecting and not surprised. This "side" wasn't anywhere near the volume of any of the other sides. However, I was hungry and in a hurry to get home. The meal was filling. If I'm in the area again and very hungry, I might stop in. One last thing, their tea...

The sides are small for a group, even the large ones and they are expensive considering rice, beans and mac 'n cheese are very cheap to make. The tortillas are always fresh but you need to always buy extra. The salsa bar has different tasty choices although the cups are small, they do have bigger ones if you ask. I always bring my own containers and lids in for taking home salsas. I've never had anyone say anything, but I'm descrete about it.
Occasionally they have a reasonable coupon or three. I only eat here when my co-munchers want to have it. I prefer eating chicken from KFC or Popeye's even Costco and Sam's Club have a better whole roasted chicken and...
